Simply raise MST by 10 and you may see riots. MST is calculated on ordinary passenger fare, and most of these 25k people travel by M/E or higher and not DEMU and proposed MEMU. Start a monthly increase of 5 for MST to match with at least 30, then 40 journeys per month. Many of those use the facility to travel multiple times everyday, mostly traders or their agents/employees. No poor people will be affected by a hike of 5 in their monthly bill.

Finally, there is an electrification move on this line [Blore Hubli Pune], its a good move and once Suburb is extended to tumkur, lot of trains will ply. Hoping for a speedy execution.

How about a Bangalore Pune train starting from SBC / YPR by around 10-11 AM and travelling through Guntakal, Ballari, Gadag, Bijapur, Solapur to reach Pune by morning 6? Return also can be on the same timings. Distance in this route is just 12 kms more than via Hubli Belagavi route.
One can think of a tri weekly in the route, connecting many towns enroute.
