It is too early to construct Mass Transit for Noida Airport. Initially, Reliable Bus Transport with good frequency would be fine. It would take a while to analyse the pattern and then take action accordingly.
दिन दूर नहीं, जब लखनऊ से कानपुर के बीच सेमी हाईस्पीड ट्रेनें रफ्तार भरती नजर आएंगी। रेलखण्ड को फोरलेन करने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। 45 लाख रुपये से दो नई लाइनों को बिछाने के लिए सर्वे किया जाएगा तथा प्रोजेक्ट पर कुल 14 सौ करोड़ रुपये तक खर्च आने की उम्मीद है।
दिल्ली से मुम्बई व दिल्ली से हावड़ा, यह देश के दो प्रमुख रेलखण्ड हैं। हावड़ा की मेनलाइन वाराणसी के रास्ते गुजरती है, जिसमें लखनऊ से कानपुर का रेलखण्ड सपोर्टिंग लाइन की तरह जुड़ा हुआ है। इस सेक्शन की खस्ताहालत के चलते ट्रेनों को 80 से सौ किमी प्रति घंटे से अधिक की रफ्तार पर नहीं चलाया जा पा रहा था। जबकि इसके आगे के रूट पर ट्रेनें 130 की रफ्तार तक चलती हैं। ऐसे में उत्तर रेलवे लखनऊ मंडल के डीआरएम डॉ. मनीष थपल्याल व सीनियर डीसीएम रेखा शर्मा के सहयोग से लखनऊ-कानपुर रेलखण्ड के स्टेशनों का अपग्रेडेशन कराया गया।
इंटरलॉकिंग हुई और नए स्लीपर भी जरूरत के मुताबिक बिछाए गए, जिससे ट्रैक की दशा बेहतर हुई। वहीं अब दो दशक पुराने प्रोजेक्ट पर काम शुरू कर दिया गया है, जिसके तहत लखनऊ से कानपुर के बीच दो नई रेलवे लाइनों को बिछाया जाना है। अभी इस रेलखण्ड पर दो लाइनें हैं। फोरलेन हो जाने पर ट्रेनों की संख्या व स्पीड, दोनों बढ़ाई जा सकेंगी। रेलवे अधिकारियों ने बतायाकि तीसरी व चौथी लाइन के लिए सर्वे होगा, जिस पर 45 लाख रुपये खर्च आएगा। इसके बाद नई लाइनों को बिछाने का काम होगा। सूत्र बताते हैं कि सर्वे का काम इस साल पूरा हो जाएगा, जबकि लाइनों को बिछाने का काम अगले वर्ष से शुरू हो सकता है। हालांकि, आधिकारिक तौर पर अफसर लाइनों के बिछाने की मियाद पर कुछ नहीं बोल रहे हैं।
45 मिनट में सफर पूरा करेगी वंदे भारत मेट्रो छोटी दूरी के लिए रेलवे बोर्ड ने वंदे भारत मेट्रो ट्रेनों को चलाने की घोषणा बजट में की थी। इसके तहत लखनऊ से कानपुर रेलखण्ड पर भी इस ट्रेन को चलाया जाएगा। ट्रैक के फोरलेन हो जाने पर वंदे भारत मेट्रो चलेगी, जो 130 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार पर दौड़ेगी और सफर महज 45 मिनट में पूरा कर देगी।
खजाना भरेगा, खिलेंगे यात्रियों के चेहरे लखनऊ कानपुर रेलखंड के फोरलेन हो जाने से रेलवे प्रशासन को ट्रेनों को रोककर चलाने के झंझट से मुक्ति मिल जाएगी। दो ट्रैक मालगाड़ियों के लिए रहेंगे, जबकि दो पर पैसेंजर ट्रेनें चलेंगी। इससे एक ओर रेलवे का खजाना भरेगा, वहीं दूसरी ओर सेमी हाईस्पीड ट्रेनों के चलने से पैसेंजरों के चेहरों पर भी मुस्कुराहट फैलेगी।
पहले बिछेंगी लाइनें, फिर होगी बैरिकेडिंग सेमी हाईस्पीड ट्रेनों को चलाने से पहले ट्रैक के दोनों ओर बैरिकेडिंग भी की जाएगी। मसलन, पहले दो नई लाइनों को बिछाने का सर्वे होगा, जिसके बाद नई लाइनें बिछाई जाएंगी और जब ट्रैक फोरलेन हो जाएगा, तब दोनों ओर बैरिकेडिंग होगी। इससे आवारा पशु ट्रैक पर नहीं आ सकेंगे और हादसों पर लगाम लगेगी। यह कार्य अगले साल मार्च तक पूरा होने की उम्मीद जताई जा रही है।

In such a situation, with the help of Dr. Manish Thaplyal and Senior DREO Rekha Sharma, the stations of the Lucknow-Kanpur rail section have been upgraded.
Interlocking has been done and new sleepers have also been laid according to the need, which has improved the condition of the track. Meanwhile, work has now begun on a decade-old project, under which two new railway lines will be laid between Lucknow and Kanpur. Currently, there are two lines on this railway line. After being forlorn, the number and speed of trains can be increased. Railway officials have said that a survey will be conducted for the third and fourth lines, which will cost 45 lakh rupees. After this, the work of laying new lines will be done. Sources say that the survey work will be completed this year, and the work of laying the lines can start from next year. However, as per the official, no deadline has been given for laying the lines.
Vande Bharat Metro will complete the journey in 45 minutes.

“The reports of the number of sleeper coaches being reduced in trains leading to problems for passengers opting for non-AC berths are false. There is a standard composition of coaches in a train since the time new LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches were introduced and all trains have 22 coaches with the same configuration” the minister said.
“There is no change in the standard coach composition in a train,” Vaishnaw added. “A train has six to seven sleeper coaches, four general coaches, one or no AC 1st Class, one or two pantry cars, two 2AC coaches, six 3AC coaches and one power car or a guard coach.”
According to the railways, 95.3% of the 390.2 crore people who travelled on trains between April and October 2023 were in general and sleeper classes. Only 4.7% of passengers travelled in air-conditioned coaches.
The minister also underlined that the railways significantly increased the number of additional train trips this festive season between October 1 and December 31 from 2,614 last year to 6,754 additional trips this year. This, he said, was nearly a threefold increase in one year.
“We have already operated 2,423 trips from 1 October. 36 lakh passengers have travelled in the current festive season, which is more than double as compared to last season,” he said.
The minister said the number of additional train trips is decided based on a study conducted every year before the peak travel season starts. “Reservations and waiting list trends are monitored three months before the season begins. A call is taken on planning for the additional train trips accordingly,” he said.
Checking on trains
The railways said it has also started a drive to ensure people do not carry inflammable articles on trains and have caught firecrackers during checking at New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Jabalpur and Vijayawada stations. An official said 67 trains have been checked since Wednesday, three cases registered and two persons arrested.
