Now that premiun trains are in SBC KLBG sector, why can't we have a SF between Bangalore and Mumbai?
8.5 hours for SBC KLBG, 1.15 for KLBG SUR, 6.5 for SUR CSMT , total 17.5 hours. Say 18 hours.
We can have a tri weekly to start with. SBC DEP 1230 KLBG 2130 SUR 2300 CSMT 0630. CSMT DEP 1100 SUR 1830 KLBG 2000 SBC 0500.

Maveli can be extended to NCJ/ CAPE. TVC Arr 0530 Dep 0545 NCJ 0715/0720, CAPE 0800. Return CAPE 1700, NCJ 1845 TVC 1915/1925.
Also, Netravati can be extended to Tirunelveli with PM there.

'Extension long back' is not justifying the extension. Extend Maveli to NCJ. Timings of Maveli is excellent for extension to NCJ.

Also, from Mangalore end, extend Ernad or Parasuram to Bangalore via Hassan, by merging with MAQ SMVB Express via Mysore. Let one SR train run inside SWR area of Hassan line.

For running a NCJ LTT towards Konkan, will PGT/ TVC agree if it runs via MDU POY PGTN? 500% no.
These 2 divisions depend on TN and KA even for their existence (600 Km criteria), but do no good to those towns of TN/ KA.

As Ernad is running empty after Kasaragod, why not tweak TT? Let it not start at ghost hours from NCJ. Let it start late to arrive MAQ by 1930 to 2000 at MAQ. Then it can go to Bangalore as ONT.
There are plenty of trains running with 2S and Sleeper (AC and Non AC) running as day time ICE in some stretch and ONT as other. Check MS MAQ, MS GUV, MS TJ Cholan etc.

MS GUV is ICE for MS TEN MS, and ONT for TEN GUV TEN.

MAQ needs a daily connection with Bangalore. SR is doing nothing. Always platform issues for any train inside karnataka.
But SR is running 5 daily trains to TVC and 4 daily trains to Chennai. One Chennai and one TVC train should give way for 2 Karnataka trains. You can't extend Chennai MAQ train to Bangalore , so one TVC MAQ should get extended. If you feel Ernad is not ok, tell me which other can get extended -- Malabar/ Maveli/ Parashuram or 16347 48?

Ok. Tell me what happened to pre Konkan daily Delhi train Mangala Express? Pre Konkan used to run via SRR SA KPD BZA NGP. Compare quota of seats for this train for MAQ to Delhi then and now.

As this is running on a really circuitous route, can run via PGT CBE POY instead of PGT PGTN POY.
This can act as perfect overnight train between TVC and CBE. Perfect ICE between CBE MDU.
Nothing is lost for PGT POY route as PGT TCN express is just ahead/ behind Amritha both ways.

With this VB, regular MYS MAS SF is spoiled. Both ways, gets overtaken by this VB.
Why not degrade MYS MAS SF to normal express? Public will save some money.

Also, this will make Chamundi Express and other 2 trains crawl for overtake by VB.

There is no real SF between MAS to SBC in the afternoon. Why can't the Sharabdi starting at SBC at 0600 go as MAS SBC MYS Shatabdi at 1300? Can reach SBC by 1800 and MYS 2000. Next day, MYS SBC MAS Shatabdi can reach MAS by 1530 and return to SBC at 1745 to rea h SBC by 2215.
Some realignment between SWR VB and Shatabdi needed.

Don't know why SR is spoiling good SWR trains running to SR area.
First, they extended SBC CAN to CLT. Now MYS MV to CUPJ!
SR TPJ does not run any train from delta area to Bangalore/ Mysore. Both MYS MV and SBC KIK are SWR trains. Now, instead of running another train from TPJ to SBC, they are spoiling a good train.

RMM SBC via CDM KPD suggested because the train will connect many pilgrimage centres -- Thiruvannamalai, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur, Ramanathapuram, Rameshwaram. Can act as a train to Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Nagore, Karaikal, Thirunallar, as these towns are nearer MV/ TVR. Also, Katpadi gets connection with these towns which is missing now.
Distance may be more by around 180 kms, but it is justified.

SBC can have daily one train but on 3 different routes on different days. Biweekly via MV CDM VM KPD, Biweekly via TJ KRR SA HSRA, tri weekly via MDU KRR SA KJM.

Also KIK SBC ONT is very much necessary. 3 days via TJ TPJ SA, 2 days via MV CUPJ SA, 2 days via MV VM KPD.
