How many sets in India have already four tiered rail tracks in parallel? I have seen them running in HWH-BWN main line section. I assume some might run in Bombay suburban railway. Any other cities? Chennai maybe?

UTR is still not too well connected. For eg, to reach LKO station, one had probably need to change twice from UTR. It lies in the residential area and of course, no scope of metro there. In comparasion, even Mohanlalganj has easier access to public transport since despite lying at the edge of LKO, it it next to the main road.

Some trains have stoppage at Alamnagar like Triveni Express and even Lucknow Mail in one direction but Amausi doesn't have any express train stoppage. Only EMUs stop there and despite lying not far from airport and metro station [~4 kms], transportation isn't always easily available.

There was a thread earlier about the occupancy of BSB-RNC VB and apparently, it wasn't very great. Will Darbhanga - Ranchi VB be worth it?

The point is, two stations should first be regularly connected via something like a Mail/Express train that has larger carrying capacity and composing of GN/SL/3A/2A so that is serves the full spectrum of passengers. Won't introducing a regular night mail be better first than introducing a direct VB?

Look at GKP-ALD VB. For half it's run, it has mps of ~ 100 kph, I think and max of only 110 kph. The MUR-AY-BBK section had a 100 kph limit last I searched and so is post Raebareily after lines xing out for ALD. So, not only this train takes a much longer loop for end to end stations, it does on a route that is slow. Funny thing is a completely UNRESERVED PASSENGER is 30 minutes faster than this VB b/w these 2 cities.
