There is a heavy demand for a train from SMVB/Yeswantpur to Hazrat Nizamuddin via Hubballi, Belagavi & PUNE.
Accordingly, it is proposed for the introduction of a new Daily Rajdhani Express train between Yeswantpur-Nizamuddin via UBL, BGM & PUNE.The actual day of the journey will be shared later.
The details are as mentioned,

Unfortunately Central Karnataka has the weakest Railway Infrastructure .The weakness is to the extent that it is more weak than the Backward States of India. Central Karnataka was a neglected state in terms of Railway Infrastructure and an awe is expreseed by people of other states when entered into discussions with them.The Railway Electrification and Doubling has done some Good to Central Karnataka to some extent in the recent years but definately not up to the mark. From the time of the British itself Railway in Central Karnataka was a metergauge but was recently converted to Broad gauge in very recent years.The Train like Rajdhani Express to Delhi and other trains via Hubli,Belgaum should have been introduced long back. Even after ages it is still under proposal. There was a set back in central karnataka for Non Avaibality of Broad Gauge gauge even it being viable. The Railway Electrification and Doubling of Railway lines on Miraj-Londa Section is still lingering. The Railway Electrification even of a Single Track is at Snail pace.God knows after how many years the Miraj-Londa Section will be completed.

The Sad part of the Story and also Surprising is that the Central Karnataka has the weakest Railway Infra Structure. The Extent of weakness of Railway Infra Structure in Central Karnataka is so much so that it has become a laughing Stock. Still to Add to the Agony to the Railway Infrastructure is it is more backward than the backward states of India. Introduction of Double Track ,Railway Electrification should have been done long Back .The same is the case of the Introduction of Rajdhani Express. The Work of Railway Electrification of Miraj-Londa Section is Lingering even for a Single Track. Leave aside Doubling and Electrification.God knows when it will be completed.

after Pune, it should go in the fastest route to Delhi. Can cater to Pune Delhi travellers also. Means via BRC KOTA. Second preference should be via BRC ADI AII RE. Rajdhani Definitely not via MMR.

Make KSK via UBL BJP Pune daily. KSK Via KCG in its original route via DMM.

Run AC SF daily Bangalore Delhi via ASK UBL BGM PUNE BRC KOTA.

A long-term proposal to extend the Bengaluru-Kannur Express to Kozhikode may finally reach fruition with the Southern Railway officials responding positively at a meeting of MPs in the Palakkad division.
Southern Railway General Manager John Thomas, who chaired the meeting, informed Kozhikode MP M.K. Raghavan that the proposal was under the active consideration of the Railway before the presentation of the Union Budget on February 1. Previously, the South Western Railway had agreed to the extension plans of the express train.
At the meeting, Mr. Raghavan blamed the Railway for delaying
the proposal on the grounds of lack of platform at Kozhikode railway station despite the South Western Railway giving its consent and the availability of sufficient time to reach Kozhikode.
Train number 16512 starts from Kannur at 4.50 p.m., reaches Mangaluru at 7.50 p.m., and reaches Bengaluru the next day at 6.50 a.m. Train number 16511 starts from Bengaluru at 9.30 p.m. and reaches Kannur at 10.55 a.m. the next day.
The officials said the proposal would be considered after Mr. Raghavan suggested that the existing Mangaluru-Kozhikode Express Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) service be extended to Palakkad. That would solve the issue of absence of a platform at Kozhikode as well as benefit train commuters in the Malabar region. The Railway will also actively consider extending the Thiruvananthapuram-Madurai Amritha Express (via Palakkad) to Rameswaram.

Instead SR should run a CLT MAJN MYS SBC train with suitable TT. Something like CLT 1730 CAN 1900 MAJN 2130 MYS 0400 SBC 0615. Return SBC 1900 MYS 2130 MAJN 0400 CAN 0615 CLT 0745.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ನೈಋತ್ವ ರೈಲ್ವೇ ವಲಯದ ಮೈಸೂರು-ಮಂಗಳೂರು ರೈಲು ಮಾರ್ಗದ ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣ ಯೋಜನೆ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಂಡು ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದರೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ ಹಂತದಿಂದ ಮೇಲೇರಿಲ್ಲ.
ಮಂಗಳೂರು-ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಡುವಣ ರೈಲು ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಅವಧಿ ದೀರ್ಘ‌ ವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕಡಿಮೆಗೊಳಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 2017ರ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮೈಸೂರು-ಹಾಸನ-ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮಧ್ಯೆ 347 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ 461.23 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರದ 2020-21ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 60 ಕೋ.ರೂ. ಅನುದಾನ ಮೀಸಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪೂರ್ತಿಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದಾಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದರ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನವನ್ನು ರೈಲ್‌ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಟೆಕ್ನಿಕಲ್‌ಆ್ಯಂಡ್‌ ಎಕಾಮಿಕ್ಸ್‌ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್‌ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್‌ (ರೈಟ್ಸ್‌)ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಸನ-ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 2021ರ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಮುಗಿದು ಬಿಡ್‌ನ‌ ಟೆಕ್ನಿಕಲ್‌ ಇವೇಲ್ಯೂವೇಶನ್‌ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.ಮೈಸೂರು-ಹಾಸನ ವಲಯದ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಜನವರಿ ಅಂತ್ಯದೊಳಗೆ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ ಕರೆಯುವ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ಆ ಬಳಿಕ ಹಾಸನ- ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಡುವಣ
ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿವೆ.
ಕೊಂಕಣ ರೈಲ್ವೇಯ ಕಾರವಾರದಿಂದ ತೋಕೂರು ವರೆಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ರೈಲ್ವೇಯ ಪಾಲಕ್ಕಾಡ್‌ ವಿಭಾಗದ ತೋಕೂರಿನಿಂದ ಶೋರ್ನೂರ್‌ ವರೆಗಿನ ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಯಶವಂತಪುರ-ಕಾರವಾರ ರೈಲು ಕಾರವಾರದಿಂದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವರೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವೇಗವೂ ವರ್ಧನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, 50 ನಿಮಿಷ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್‌ಗೆ ತಲುಪುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಡೀಸೆಲ್‌ ಎಂಜಿನ್‌ ಮೂಲಕ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಕೊಂಕಣ ರೈಲ್ವೇ: ಶೇ. 87 ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣ ಪೂರ್ಣಕೊಂಕಣ ರೈಲು ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್‌ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಶೇ. 87ರಷ್ಟು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟು 1,287 ಕೋ.ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ 741 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ 2015ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಲಾನ್ಯಾಸ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಇದೀಗ ರೋಹಾ-ರತ್ನಾಗಿರಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ 204 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಹಾಗೂ ತೋಕೂರು-ಕಾರವಾರ ವರೆಗಿನ 239 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಮಾರ್ಗ ವಿದ್ಯುದೀಕರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಾಸನ-ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ವಲಯದ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಪೂರಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಅಂತಿಮ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಮೈಸೂರು-ಹಾಸನ ವಲಯದ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ ಈ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆಯುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಹಾಸನದಿಂದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವರೆಗಿನ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಪೂರಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳು ಬಳಿಕ ಆರಂಭಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿವೆ.– ಇ. ವಿಜಯ, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕಸಂಪರ್ಕಾಧಿಕಾರಿ, ನೈಋತ್ಯ ರೈಲ್ವೇ

Southern Railway awaiting board’s nod for timetable of Rameswaram train
The Southern Railway has said that it will examine proposals to operate new passenger trains from Mangaluru Central, including one to popular pilgrim centre Tirupati, to include them in the Inter Railway Timetable Committee (IRTTC) 2022 meeting.
During the meeting of MPs from Palakkad Division with Southern Railway’s General Manager last week, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel’s proposals to introduce new trains from Mangaluru to Tirupati via Hassan; Ahmedabad via Madgaon and Miraj via Hassan and Arsikere, were discussed. B.G. Mallya responded saying that the feasibility of introduction of the suggested trains will be carefully examined for inclusion in the next IRTTC meeting.
Several rail patrons and passenger associations in the region had urged the MP to get a direct train facility to Tirupati as thousands travel to the destination using other tedious modes of transport. Similarly, the Mahalakshmi Express to Miraj that was running before gauge conversion was not reintroduced after gauge conversion. As per the Railway policy, all trains running before gauge conversion should be reintroduced after completion of the work, the MP had noted and said that the train connected North Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka.
Meanwhile, responding to questions from other MPs of the division, including E.T. Mohammed Basheer from Ponnani, M.P. Abdussamad Samadai from Malappuram, M.K. Raghavan from Kozhikode and Rajmohan Unnithan from Kasargod, the General Manager said that the zone is awaiting clearance of timetable for the proposed Mangaluru Central-Rameswaram bi-weekly express via Podanur, Pollachi and Madurai. Though the train was sanctioned about four years ago, the board is yet to clear the timetable.Pitline work
To another question from Mr. Kateel on the delay in the completion of the new pitline and platform works at Mangaluru Central, the General Manager said that construction of the pitline, work on which was awarded on November 19, 2020, got delayed because of funds crunch as no funds were made available in 2021-22. COVID-19 situation too contributed to the delay.
However, sufficient funds were available at present and the pitline work will be completed by next month-end. As works on additional platforms at Mangaluru Central can be taken up only after the pitline gets ready, they will be taken up in the 2022-23 financial year, he added.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ತಿರುಪತಿ ರೈಲು ಹಾಸನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಸ್ವಾಗತಾರ್ಹ. ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸಂಜೆ 5-6 ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 7-8ಕ್ಕೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ ತಲುಪ ಬೇಕು. ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ದಿನ.
ಇದೇ ವೇಳಾಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ದಿನ ಓಡಸ ಬೇಕು.

उक्त प्रस्ताव माननीय संसदीय कार्य मंत्री प्रल्हाद जोशी के आग्रह पर दक्षिण पश्चिम रेलवे ने रेलवे बोर्ड को भेजा है। केंद्रीय मंत्री का प्रस्ताव और आग्रह होने के कारण यथावकाश सम्मति भी मिलने की पुरजोर आशा है।
इस राजधानी एक्सप्रेस के कारण मध्य रेल के पुणे मण्डल को पहली और भुसावल मण्डलको एक और राजधानी एक्सप्रेस मिलने की आशा भी बढ़ गयी है।

In fact, BDTS CDG biweekly runs in that route and it is quite fast. It bypasses NDLS NZM and stops at Gurgaon and Delhi Cantt.
This route to be utilised more.

Pune Ahmedabad in 9 hours (Duronto) plus another 9.5 hours to Jaipur and another 3.5 hours to Delhi. Max 21 hours.
YPR SUR via KLBG 11 hours plus 3 hours to Pune.
Total 34-35 hours for Bangalore to Delhi via Pune, Mumbai outskirts, Vadodara Ahmedabad Ajmer Jaipur.
Think of connectivity, it will be excellent.
