Idea is good. Will give another outlet for Hosur bound trains. But unable to understand how this new line will benefit trains towards TN and Kerala. From Hosur, trains have to come to Heelalige, take new route via Hejjala and reach SBC. No other route possible. How they will avoid SBC?
Probably, trains like CBE LTT and DR TEN can use this route to navigate in Bangalore.

SWR works on many passenger friendly aspects like:
1. Not connecting YPR line and JTJ line at SBC. Instead, hotel and vehicle parking area are built.
2. MYS SBC journey time kept almost unchanged despite doubling and electrification.
3. Not permitting or coordinating with BMTC for start of buses from SBC railway area.
4.
...
Not running any local train between SBC SMVB and YPR SMVB. Passengers can use Ola Uber. No buses connecting these terminals. Metro connection to SMVB is totally ruled out.
5. Not linking Hosur line and YNK line while developing SMVB terminal.
6. Trains from Hosur side to YPR avoid SMVB.
7. Just one Karnataka centric train starts from SMVB.
8. Holding Chalukya at YPR for 3 hours daily so that passengers can be awake in the early morning to take care of their luggage. Business opportunity for vendors.

Only thing pending is banning passengers from reaching railway station 🤔. Actions already in progress in this direction!!.

If VB starts from MYS in the morning say by 0700, it will be a hit. Same way returning in evening. Something like MYS 0700 SBC 0900 MAS 1400, Return MAS 1445 SBC 1930 MYS 2130.
Fare SBC MYS SBC sector should be ₹ 400. KSRTC Volvo buses will go out of road, if this happens.

I feel VB cannot be limited to 360 Kms one way journey. Minimum 500 kms required.
MYS SBC is golden route. SBC MAS also golden evergreen route.
SBC MAS SBC Shatabdi timings is a problem for Bangalore traveller's in almost all areas -- be it JP Nagar, Banashankari or Domlur, Marathahalli Koramangala Yelahanka etc. Early morning 4 one has to get up and catch taxi to reach SBC. Ditto problem when you reach at 2230 at SBC. One more hour of travel and a hole in

the purse!. Anyway journey time will be 7 hours end to end. Buses are readily available round the clock for a fare of around 600 to 1000.
Considering this, if MYS MAS VB starts at 0900 at SBC, can prove beneficial. Anyway breakfast and lunch are taken care of in VB. Similar advantage while returning also. After 1330 no train till 1530 from MAS. So VB can start by 1450 or 1500 and reach SBC by 1945 2000.

Re# 5566655-1
Two simple suggestions which are possible to implement:
1. Take BJP MAJN upto MAQ and make it run with RSA to Gomateshwara. BJP train can arrive by 0930 to 1000 and leave by 1130. Gomateshwara can arrive by 1630 and leave to BJP by 1800.
2. Take SMVB MAQ via Mysore before 0800 and extend to Karwar or atleast upto Bhatkal. Also let MAQ SMVB leave after 2000 from MAQ.

Can SR handover these new platforms to SWR, so that SWR can exclusively run some Karnataka centric trains?
