Though I have not Travelled in this train here . But according to me this train should be cancelled Permanently or Enroute via Solapur
The most prominent reason is , beacause it has less speed means it is slow here . And when I saw some travel tips here by this train that people were telling that Many people from Pune prefer this train to Delhi /Chandigarh , and in case of Yeshwantpur the passengers are less , so one Question here Is this train is from Bangalore to Chandigarh or Pune to Chandigarh. And Major thing is the route of the train here , this train fully follow the route of 12629/30 through the entire way till Delhi . And I didn't understand why this railway officials made two Seperate Karnataka S.Kr's here ? Instead they they could merge these both sampark Krantis here into single one and take till Chandigarh or could Divert 12629/30 from Pune Onwards via Kalyan , Vadodara ,Kota . And this train is too much slow than other trains from Pune like Goa Express , Jhelum etc on this route (i.e via DD - MMR - BSL - BPL). Hence due to these reasons here I think that 22685 should be cancelled here or if possible should be routed via Solapur , Daund since Solapur has one train throughout the day towards Delhi here. And according to me 12649/50 should be extended till CDG here. And in case of Pune passengers A new train should be introduced from Kolhapur/Pune to Chandigarh (via Kalyan ,Western Railways ).
But in case of Karnataka S. Kr's any one option could be done here
1. Either 12649/50 should be extended till CDG
OR
2. 22685/86 should be diverted via Solapur OR get cancelled Permanalently

As per RVNL recent update, Kulali to Sawalagi doubling is in final stage and will be commissioned within 3 months. So by the month of October, Solapur - Gulbarga (Kalburgi) entire section will be doubled.
Another progress update is from Daund - Solapur section. New platform is constructed at Jeur, also underpass work is completed. Next Target is Balwani - Jeur - Pophlaj section. Electrification work is almost completed between Bhigwan and Kurduwadi (minor work remaining) and Kurduwadi to Miraj.
