* India is a huge Market for high tech railway equipments, & train manufacturers.
* It is a golden opportunity for European/American to stand in competition with China's CRRC, as they may get preference due to not so good diplomatic relation between China & India.
* They can further compete with Chinese manufactures by establishing their new factories in India under "Make in India" campaign of Govt of India to cut down their manufacturing costs and then supply the products in India as well as other countries.

Indian made Metro trains are already being exported to other developed nations like Australia. With construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad HST project set to take off, now it is time to manufacture HSTs and associated equipments at India and export to other nations.

Good step, if implemented properly it will make Intracity commuting in big metros shall be easier.
It will help a large number of commuters and spare them from buying different tickets for trains and connected buses etc.
