Cancellation of Train Services

South Central Railway has announced the cancellation of several special trains due to scheduled maintenance work and operational reasons. The cancellations affect trains operating between Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Chennai Egmore, Santragachi, Dhanbad, Coimbatore, Tambaram, Kharagpur, Malda Town, and Guwahati. The affected trains and their respective cancellation dates are listed below.

Special Trains between Visakhapatnam and Chennai Egmore

East Coast Railway is running special summer trains between Visakhapatnam and Chennai Egmore to manage the increased demand during the season. Train No. 08577 will depart from Visakhapatnam at 17.35 hrs on Mondays (27th May, 03rd, 10th, 17th, 24th June, 2024) and reach Chennai Egmore at 08.45 hrs the next day....

The return train, No. 08578, will leave Chennai Egmore at 10.30 hrs on Tuesdays (28th May, 04th, 11th, 18th, 25th June, 2024) and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 01.00 hrs the next day. The train composition includes 10 AC Three Tier Economy Coaches, 6 Sleeper Class Coaches, 2 General Second Class Coaches, 1 Second Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly), and 1 Luggage cum Brake Van. Advance reservations for these special trains are open from the Southern Railway End.

The Pune-Bhubaneswar special train (01047) departs from Pune on Saturday, May 11th, at 11:30 and arrives in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, May 12th, at 16:45 (1 trip). The return train (01048) departs from Bhubaneswar on Sunday, May 12th, at 21:25 and arrives in Pune on Tuesday, May 14th, at 05:30 (1 trip). The CSMT (Mumbai)-Bhubaneswar special train (01049) departs from CSMT (Mumbai) on Saturday, May 11th, at 11:05 and arrives in Bhubaneswar on Monday, May 13th, at 01:45 (1 trip).
