Please remember to tick the option "Auto-upgrade" while you book sleeper class tickets, so you can get to travel in 3AC coaches if any of them are vacant.

But I do NOT agree with this way of Railways of Increasing Revenues. Instead railways can run more Humsafars or Durontos with Sleeper coaches with 15/30% extra sleeper class charges. this way Sleeper class passengers can pay more & can also afford the fare.

the Root cause behind the FINANICAL TROUBLES of the Railways is that The various costs keep increasing such as Manpower cost due to implementation of 5th pay commission, then 6th & then 7th pay commission, whereas the Fares have undergone NEGLIGIBLE/VERY MINIMUM change, no government wants to make a very substantial increase in sleeper or UR fares. All this is just done to MAXIMIZE PROFIT.

I fully agree. In my opinion, DFC is a great useful development, but apart from that , our country doesn't need Humsafar, Tejas, Train 18 etc. आज भी भारत की बड़ी जनता स्लीपर और सेकंड क्लास में सफर करती है। रेलवे को तेजस, बुलेट की बजाय हमसफ़र का टाईमटेबल सुधारना चाहिए और अंत्योदय रैक ज़्यादा चलाना चाहिए। Behind all this is political greed, and the "desire" for privatisation.
To really decrease "losses", railways should complete existing pending new line/GC projects quickly, instead of accepting further new lines.

Some kind of Fastag type RFID system should be implemented so that a person can only enter a train when he/she has proper ticket(to stop ticketless travel).
"Flexifare-stupidity" should be stopped, flop humsafars will improve soon.
Just my thoughts, no intention to hurt anyone's sentiments :)
