If you have to take connecting train from DDU by using this MEMU then NEVER EVER do this mistake..!!!!
This MEMU is denied entry by DDU Division at DDU before 4am.
Due to it's RSA Partner 03384 DDU-GAYA MEMU Departs at 4am.. so to avoid ECR to be parked at PF or somewhere, DDU receives this train around 4am so that after 10-15min halt it can depart as 03384 Gaya MEMU.

to reach DDU, take any express train and not this MEMU, it reaches DDU 4-5 hours late daily

As its most of the time punctual, you get ample time at GTL station. Some say, its a boring train because of the wait at GTl for coupling with Prashanti NIlayam. But use the time wisely and smartly. Even chain route takes same amount of time except that instead of being stationary, you will be on the move.
So use the train to Goto a First Show at Chaitanya Thatre (Best in town) or any other theater. Get relaxed and entertained. You can watch the movie, then have dinner in town before coming to the station to board the train. We did it easily and watched Shatamanam Bhavati Telugu movie. Attached our selfie (First Pic) at the theatre.

may also opt to hire a round trip auto to visit the district famous, ancient Kasapuram Anjaneya Swamy temple (Hanuman Temple). 14 kms oneway.

Or just simply stay at the station or inside your coach and take rest or explore the station.

If you are a Nature lover The ~1 hour section between Yelahanka (YNK) and Gauribidanur (GBD) is very beautiful, where the train pass through vast plains, curving through several hills. Get a window seat to your right (YNK GBD) to enjoy the view.

If your travelling to Mangaluru or past Subrahmanya road(or vice Versa) for general travel or for railfanning sit on the left side of coach near the emergency window (bars free view:P).one's train leaves Sakleshpur ,most of the people reserve their seats near door so better be hurry and occupy as this section gives one of BEST SCENIC VIEWS(better i say it as BREATHTAKING VIEWS for more than 3 hours.)where it passes through 60 tunnels and number of bridges (of which best will come at midst of journey around after passing 20 tunnels so don't hurry and waste your devices battery as it descends loco pilot will do brake test at every halt and between(almost stops at least min or more if your lucky that day),so if u are smart, adventurer kinda guy hurry and move down to take better snaps

Local trains[for Baidhyanath Dham/Dumka] start from PF 4 and 5 which are adjacent/next to PF 1. The station has a paid AC lounge on PF1. Retiring room is outside the main station. Technically, all three stations here = Jasidih, Baidhyathdham and Deoghar have retiring room facilities, but when I visited only JSME was operational and no one was staying at Baidhyanath Dham one. One would need to go to counter number 7 first to approve their booking and then to the 'Enquiry Office' to enter your details. It's a lot of paperwork and corruption is involved. The RR person/caretaker might even ask you for a bribe once you are leaving your room permanently.

goes for more than MRP in and around this place except for a few exceptions[ even in government owned shops]. The only good thing is the IRCTC restaurant next to the retiring room which has decent food and the lake side view near to the rail station.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
