It has been decided that 02703/ 02704 Howrah-Secunderabad-Howrah special will stop at Palasa and Ichchapuram w.e.f 08.10.2020 in both directions and 02245/02246 Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Special will stop at Vizianagaram w.e.f 09.10.2020 in both directions.

The 'very severe' cyclonic storm Titli, which hit coastal areas of northern Andhra Pradesh, leaving eight people dead and several injured also affected rail and road transport in the state. Trains to and fro the coastal towns were cancelled on Thursday because of the rising water levels. There was danger looming around Bridge 1052 near Ichchapuram town as water levels had breached the danger mark.

The deadly storm, which uprooted trees and electric poles, damaging hutments in Odisha's Ganjam and Gajapati districts, claimed one life so far in the state.
In the wake of the disaster, 13 teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed in vulnerable areas along with fire brigade personnel. Over three lakh people have been moved to safe places which helped avoid loss of life in the calamity. The evacuees are housed in 1,112 shelters where food and sanitation facilities are available.

Due to overflowing of water on the track between Jhadupudi and Ichchapuram stations of East Coast Railway, certain long-distance trains going towards and coming from Howrah have been cancelled or diverted.
CANCELLED: Train 22817 Howrah-Mysore Express and 02728 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Special on Friday; 17480 Tirupati-Puri Express.

Train No. 22850 Secunderabad - Shalimar Weekly Express, is rescheduled to depart Secunderabad at 16 00 hrs instead of 05 30 hrs today i.e., 25th October, 2013 (Friday).
This train is also diverted to run via., Kazipet,Balharshah, Nagpur, Kharagpur due to flowing of water over the track near Ichchapuram Station of East Coast Railway.
