Nagpur: The BJP's Railway Passenger Cell has requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to split the 20-coach Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express into two and operate 10 coaches between Nagpur and Nashik.

The demand was raised due to low occupancy in the Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express since its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 16.

"Splitting the train into two will not only benefit passengers but also boost revenue, religious tourism, and trade," said Braj Bhushan Shukla, chief of the BJP Railway Cell. In a memorandum to Vaishnav, who was in the city on Friday, the BJP Railway Passenger Cell also drew attention to the old demand of establishing a railway medical college in the city.

City Women Morcha chief Pragati Patil, members Dilip Gaur, Dilipbhai Thakral, Ajay Gaur, Nitish Singh, and a large number of officials were present during the meeting. Shukla urged the railway minister to launch a daily Vande Bharat train between Nagpur and Pune, stating that the occupancy in existing trains to Pune has reached a saturation point and private luxury buses are taking advantage of it by charging at will.


The BJP leaders also demanded regularization of the 01139/01140 Nagpur-Madgaon-Nagpur special train, which is already pending with the Railway Board. They also requested the extension of Raipur-Nagpur-Secunderabad Express to Bengaluru, as there is currently no direct train from Nagpur to Bengaluru. A demand was also raised to run the 20912/20911 Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat on all weekdays, as the train currently runs only 6 days a week.

"We also want train number 15159/15160 Chhapra-Durg Sarnath Express to be extended till Nagpur. This train is stranded at Durg for 8 hours, and extending it will benefit thousands of passengers from Nagpur. The Nagpur-Solapur express was stopped during Covid and should be restarted," said Shukla.
Accepting the memorandum, Railway Minister Vaishnav assured the delegation that he will study these demands and fulfill them to the extent possible.

Central Railway General Manager Dharamveer Meena, DRM Manish Agarwal, and senior officials were present during the meeting.
Shukla pointed out that there are no direct trains from Nagpur to major cities in the north, despite a large number of North Indians living in Vidarbha. After the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the number of passengers has increased, but there is only one weekly train on this route.

The BJP Railway Passenger Cell's demands aim to improve connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling to and from Nagpur. By splitting the Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express, introducing new trains, and extending existing routes, the party hopes to boost tourism, trade, and revenue for the railways while also addressing the needs of the growing passenger base in the region.

रायपुर. छत्तीसगढ़ में दो वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस का परिचालन हो रहा है. बिलासपुर-नागपुर वंदे भारत लगभग हाउस फुल चल रही है. इस ट्रेन का परिचालन मात्र 8 कोच के साथ किया जा रहा है. ऐसे में बर्थ की संख्या भी कम है. हालात यह है कि ट्रेन की एक्यूपेसी 117 प्रतिशत तक पहुंच जाती है. मतलब कई दिन तो ट्रेन में वेटिंग लिस्ट चलती है. दूसरी तरफ दुर्ग विशाखापट्नम वंदे भारत ट्रेन का परिचालन 16 कोच के साथ किया जा रहा है. इस ट्रेन में सफर करने के लिए यात्री नहीं मिल रहे है. लगभग पूरी ट्रेन खाली रहती है.

जा रहा है कि 83 प्रतिशत बर्थ खाली जा रही है. ऐसे में रेलवे को भारी नुकसान का सामना करना पड़ रहा है. रेलवे अब छत्तीसगढ़ दुर्ग-विशाखापट्‌नम में 16 कोच, 83 प्रतिशत बर्थ रहती है खाली प्रतिशत एक्यूपेंसी की इन दोनों बंदे भारत टेन के रैकों की बदला-बदली करने पर विचार कर रहा है. मतलब दुर्ग-विशाखापट्नम ट्रेन के 16 रैक को बिलासपुर-नागपुर वंदे भारत ट्रेन के 8 रैंक के साथ बदला जाएगा. इसका सीधा लाभ बिलासपुर-नागपुर बंदे भारत ट्रेन के यात्रियों को मिलेगा.

ट्रेन में पर्याप्त बर्थ होने से यात्रियों को कंफर्म टिकट मिलेगी. दूसरी दुर्ग- विशाखापट्नम वंदे भारत को 8 रैंक के साथ चलाने पर एक्यूपेसी 50 प्रतिशत से अधिक हो जाएगी. मतलब ट्रेन की 50 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा बर्थ में यात्री नजर आएंगे. रैकों के एक्सचेंज का फायदा रेलवे को भी है. रैंकों की अदला-बदला से रेलवे को अपने नुकसान की भरपाई करने में मद्द मिलेगी.

ट्रेनों का बदल सकता है टाइम-टेबल

दुर्ग-विशाखापट्नम वंदे भारत ट्रेन की लगभग खाली चल रही है. ऐसे में रेलवे दूसरे विकल्प पर भी विचार कर रही है. दुर्ग-विशाखापट्नम वंदे भारत ट्रेन सुबह 6.13 बजे रायपुर पहुंची है. इसके करीब 2 घंटे बाद बिलासपुर-नागपुर बंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन सुबह 8.01 बजे रायपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पहुंचती है. रेलवे इन दोनों ट्रेनों के टाइम टेबल में परिवर्तन करना चाहती है. मतलब बिलासपुर-नागपुर वंदे भारत ट्रेन के रायपुर पहुंचे के 5 मिनट बाद दुर्ग-विशाखापट्नम वंदे भारत ट्रेन रायपुर पहुंचे. इससे बिलासपुर के यात्रियों को विशाखापट्नम तक के लिए वंदे भारत ट्रेन की सुविधा मिलेगी. दूसरी तरफ दुर्ग-विशाखापट्नम वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस लगभग हाउस फुल चलने लगेगी.

CR proposes sleeper Vande Bharat trains to Pune

“To address this issue and provide a more comfortable and convenient travel experience to passengers, we have proposed the introduction of sleeper Vande Bharat train for Pune and another non-sleeper Vande Bharat for Secunderabad. These trains are designed to offer a superior travel experience with modern amenities and enhanced comfort,” said Aman Mittal, senior divisional commercial manager (SrDCM).
Presently, Vande Bharat trains operate on the Nagpur-Bilaspur and Nagpur-Indore routes. These are chair car trains and do not have sleeper coaches. The proposal for sleeper Vande Bharat trains is significant because, as of now, such trains have not been introduced in the country. The introduction of sleeper Vande Bharat would mark a new milestone in the Indian Railways’ efforts to modernize and upgrade its fleet.
The sleeper Vande Bharat trains are expected to feature state-of-the-art amenities, including comfortable berths, personal reading lights, mobile charging points, and modern toilets. These trains are likely to have a higher speed capability compared to traditional trains, reducing travel time between Nagpur and Pune. The faster and more comfortable journey will greatly benefit passengers.
“The Nagpur division’s proposal is a step towards addressing the growing demand for efficient and comfortable travel options on this busy route. With the introduction of sleeper Vande Bharat trains, passengers can expect a significant improvement in their travel experiences. The faster and more comfortable journeys will not only save time but also provide a more pleasant and hassle-free travel experience,” said Mittal.
“DRM Manish Agarwal has been pushing for sleeper Vande Bharat and also raised the issue at various official forums. The introduction of sleeper Vande Bharat trains on the Nagpur-Pune route will not only benefit passengers but also showcase the Indian Railways’ capabilities in designing and manufacturing world-class trains,” said Mittal.
According to the experts, it will take over a year to get sleeper Vande Bharat. The prototype is ready and only after successful trials, serial production of these trains will start. The trains are first expected to run between capital cities like Mumbai-Delhi-Chennai-Kolkata.
“The Indian Railways will need to ensure that the necessary infrastructure and facilities are in place to support the operation of these trains. This may include upgrading the tracks, signalling systems, and maintenance facilities to handle the new train sets,” they said.
“The introduction of sleeper Vande Bharat trains on the Nagpur-Pune route is expected to be a game-changer for passengers travelling between these two cities. The faster, more comfortable, and convenient travel experience will attract more passengers to opt for train travel, reducing the burden on other modes of transportation,” said analyst on railway infrastructure Alok Patel.

Goods yard, so for handling Mail/Express trains some of the existing lines would need to be removed. Also several other changes would be required in yard to ensure seamless movement of trains to Itwari and further by-pass Nagpur Yard and move towards Godhni.

However, SECR's officer admitted that previous DRM Maninder Singh Uppal moved the proposal to Central Railway earlier about berthing their trains at Godhni, but now post scrutiny the same is found to be impractical. Mittal said another approach to Godhni from Koradi side is also going to be opened as same would provide wider access to travellers. The other entrance from existing station building is congested as same opens on to narrow road that passes through residential area. He said approach road to Godhni station from Koradi road has been sanctioned. The upgradation of Godhni station as passenger yard and development of new amenities and station building on Western side will be completed by March 2025. Only after that the plan about diversion is under active consideration of Central Railway. However SECR officials said there is dim possibility considering the operational requirement need at their end that at this juncture is quite difficult.

दमोह. दमोह और सागर से लंबे समय से एक मांग सुनने मिलती हैं कि इस रूट से एक सीधी ट्रेन नागपुर के लिए हो, क्योंकि इस क्षेत्र के सबसे अधिक यात्री स्वास्थ्य सुविधा के लिए नागपुर जाते हैं। दमोह, सागर से इस मांग को लेकर अनेक बार ज्ञापन आदि भी हो चुके थे। अब पमरे ने एक नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया है, जिसे उसने अपनी तरफ से दमोह से नागपुर तक साप्ताहिक ट्रेन चलाने की बात का उल्लेख किया है। साथ ही इसे सागर सांसद की मांग और यार्ड में खड़ी ट्रेन जैसी उपलब्धता से जोड़ा है।

एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन का दिन और समय रेलवे ने किया जारी

इस नोटिफिकेशन के सामने आने के बाद अब लोगों की इस प्रस्ताव को लेकर आपत्तियां सामने आमने लगी हैं। लोगों के अनुसार नागपुर के लिए जो रूट तय किया गया, वह अनुकूल नहीं है, क्योंकि इसमें समय बहुत ज्यादा खर्च होगा। दूसरा, जिस टाइमिंग को प्रस्ताव में रखा गया है, वह राज्यरानी ट्रेन की है। ऐसे में नागपुर ट्रेन के साथ-साथ राज्यरानी ट्रेन भी हासिये पर आने की संभावना है। इसके अलावा अन्य तर्क भी इस प्रस्ताव के सामने आने के बाद लोगों द्वारा प्रस्तुत किए जा रहे हैं। 

दरअसल, जारी हुए प्रस्ताव और नोटिफिकेशन में दर्शाया गया है कि हाल ही में हुई सांसदों की मीटिंग में सागर सांसद राजबहादुर सिंह द्वारा सागर से नागपुर ट्रेन चलाने की मांग रखी गई थी। जिसके आधार पर रेलवे ने सागर की जगह दमोह से नागपुर तक ट्रेन चलाने का प्लान तैयार किया है। इसमें बताया गया है कि एक ट्रेन है जो कि नागपुर रेलवे यार्ड में 46 घंटे तक खड़ी रहती है। ऐसे में इसका उपयोग करते हुए इसे दमोह से नागपुर के बीच साप्ताहिक ट्राइल के रू प में चलाया जा सकता हैं। इसके लिए रूटमेट और टाइमिंग का भी एक डमी नोटिफिकेशन तैयार का प्रस्ताव भेजा गया हैं।



रेलवे के प्रस्ताव के अनुसार ट्रेन नागपुर से दोपहर 3.15 पर चलकर रात साढ़े 10 इटारसी, सवा 12 पर भोपाल, 12.55 पर विदिशा, 2.40 पर बीना, 3.30 पर खुरई, 4.20 पर सागर और सुबह 5.40 पर दमोह पहुंचेगी। इसके तत्काल बाद यह ट्रेन मंगलवार को सुबह से दमोह से नागपुर के लिए लग जाएगी। मंगलवार को सुबह 6.15 पर दमोह, 7.15 पर सागर, 7.58 पर खुरई, 8.30 पर खुरई, 9.35 पर विदिशा, 10.45 पर भोपाल, 12.33 पर इटारसी और शाम को 7 बजे नागपुर पहुंचा सकती है। इसके बाद यह ट्रेन जहां चलती हैं, वहां उपयोग में ली जाएगी।



- समय, रूट को लेकर सबसे ज्यादा आपत्ति

दमोह रेलवे संघर्ष समिति के सदस्य प्रांजल चौहान ने बताया कि कोई भी ट्रेन दमोह से शुरू हो, यह बेहतर हैं, लेकिन ट्रेन दूसरी ट्रेन को प्रभावित करे और इससे सफर करने में लोगों को परेशानी हो क्या मतलब, इसका भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए। इस ट्रेन के प्रस्ताव में दोनों से ट्रेन में करीब 13 घंटे का वक्त लग रहा है, जो बहुत अधिक हैं। मरीजों के लिए यह परेशानी दायक हो सकता हैं। दूसरा यह ट्रेन सप्ताह में एक दिन राज्यरानी के समय ही भोपाल तक जाएगी। ऐसे में इसके खाली जाने के अधिक आसार हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में इससे आय कम होने की स्थिति में ट्रेन जल्द ही बंद होने की संभावना भी बढ़ती है। इसके अलावा इसका रूट भी काफी लंबा है, जो यात्रियों के लिए परेशानी का कारण है। 

- समिति ने नागपुर ट्रेन के लिए दिए थे ये ऑप्सन

रेल संघर्ष समिति द्वारा रेलवे बोर्ड को सुझाव दिया गया था कि बीना,सागर,दमोह, कटनी रेल खंड से निकलने वाली दो ट्रेन पिछले 3 साल से बंद चल रही हैं। दो महत्त्वपूर्ण ट्रेनों को पुन: चलाकर राहत प्रदान की जा सकती है और इन दोनों ट्रेनों को जबलपुर, गोंदिया होते हुए नागपुर तक आसानी से बढ़ाया जा सकता है। इस ट्रेनों में 04189/04190 जबलपुर-खजुराहो एक्सप्रेस त्रिदिवसीय, 19809/19810 कोटा-जबलपुर एक्सप्रेस नियमित इस ट्रेन को अब जबलपुर से आगे वाया गोंदिया होते हुए नागपुर तक बढ़ाया जा सकता है। यदि यह ट्रेन नागपुर तक बढाई जाती है, तो हजारों रोगी, बीमार, मरीजो को नियमित रूप से सीधा फायदा पहुंचेगा। रेलवे द्वारा हाल में जारी किए प्रस्ताव के अलावा इन प्रस्तावों पर भी गौर किया जा सकता है। जिससे लोगों को राहत मिल सके और समय पर ट्रेन पहुंच सके। साथ ही ट्रेन शुरू होने के बाद लंबे समय तक चलती रहे
