इंदौर, नईदुनिया प्रतिनिधि Indore Puri Train। इंदौर को हमेशा हाशिए पर रखने वाले रेल अधिकारी एक बार फिर शहर केे यात्रियों के हितों को ताक पर रखकर एक फैसला करवाने की तैयारी कर रहेे हैं। ताजा मामला साप्ताहिक इंदौर-जगन्नाथपुरी हमसफर एक्सप्रेेस ट्रेन का है। शुरुआत से यह ट्रेन देवास-मक्सी होकर गुजरती है, लेकिन अब पश्चिम रेलवे इस ट्रेन को उज्जैन होकर चलाने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इसका प्रस्ताव पश्चिम रेलवे के मुंबई मुख्यालय नेे नई दिल्ली स्थित रेलवे बोर्ड को भेज दिया है।
विचित्र बात यह है कि पुरी हमसफर ट्रेन का रूट बदलने का सुझाव खुद रतलाम रेेल मंडल दे रहा है। इंदौर के लिए यह चिंता का विषय इसलिए है, क्योंकि देवास-मक्सी होकर भोपाल या गुना की तरफ

आना-जाना कम दूरी वाला रास्ता है, जबकि कोई ट्रेन यदि उज्जैन होकर भोपाल या गुना की तरफ जाती है, तो उसका यात्रा समय, दूरी और किराया, सभी बढ़ जातेे हैं। इससे इंदौर के यात्रियों को जबरन उज्जैन होकर सफर करना पड़ता है। इससे उनका समय और धन, दोनों बर्बाद होते हैं। जानकार भी मानते हैं कि पहले ही ज्यादातर ट्रेन उज्जैन होकर चलाई जाती हैं और गिनी-चुनी ट्रेन ही देवास-मक्सी रूट से चलती हैं। ऐसे में उन ट्रेेनों को बंद करना इंदौर के साथ बड़ा अन्याय है।
यह समय सुझाया है बोर्ड को
- पश्चिम रेलवे के रतलाम रेल मंडल ने इंदौर-पुरी वाया उज्जैन का जो टाइम टेबल बनाया है, उसके अनुसार ट्रेन हर मंगलवार दोपहर 12.40 बजे इंदौर से रवाना होगी। दोपहर 1.25 बजेे यह देवास पहुंचेगी। वहां से दो मिनट बाद चलकर ट्रेेन दोपहर 2.15 बजे उज्जैन पहुंचेेगी। उज्जैन सेे दोपहर 2.40 बजे (25 मिनट का ठहराव) ट्रेन मक्सी होते हुए पुरी की ओर रवाना होगी। वापसी में ट्रेन पुरी से शुक्रवार सुबह 9.25 बजे उज्जैन आएगी और 25 मिनट बाद 9.50 बजे देवास व इंदौर की ओर रवाना होगी।
34 किमी का अतिरिक्त सफर करना होगा, आपत्ति लेे रहे हैं
रेलवे मामलों के वरिष्ठ जानकार नागेश नामजोशी के अनुसार इंदौर-पुरी हमसफर ट्रेन को देेवास-मक्सी होकर ही चलाया जाना चाहिए। इससेे यात्रियों का समय और किराया बचता है। उज्जैन होकर ट्रेन चलेगी तो न केेवल 34 किमी का सफर बढ़ेेगा, बल्कि उज्जैन में 25 मिनट के ठहराव के कारण ट्रेन की उपयोगिता कम हो जाएगी। इस संबंध में पूर्व लोकसभा स्पीकर सुमित्रा महाजन मंत्री के समक्ष आपत्ति दर्ज कराएंगी।
पुराना प्रस्ताव होगा
जहां तक मेरी जानकारी है, उसके हिसाब से पिछले कुछ दिन से पुरी हमसफर का रूट बदलने संबंधी कोई प्रस्ताव नहीं भेजा गया है। इस संबंध में आपरेशन विभाग से जानकारी लेेकर ही कुछ कह सकूंगा।

Puri-Indore HS is a poorly patronised train and a big failure for multiple reasons.
(1) This is the solitary train connecting Indore/Malwa to Bhubaneswar/ Puri/ Sambalpur/ Raipur/Durg/Gondia. An intercity train was required instead of AC ACIII premium flexifare H/S. Later on, a few non-ac coaches were added to improve patronage/revenue.
(2) Train was too slow esp. on Puri-IND run.

** Creating a new brand of trains with much fanfare by various RMs and treating them as their babies has already hurt IR and passengers a lot. This H/S is also an unwanted baby of the then RM. A SF train was required.

** Creation of 3 brands i.e. Rajhdhani(1969), Shatabdi(1988), Superfast(1970s) class of trains, were totally justified over the age old existing M/E & Passenger (incl.EMU/MEMU/DEMU) class of trains.
** Since last 3-4 decades, every RM tried to create its own brand on whimsical grounds and become immortal.
** This journey began with creation of Janshatabdi & Sampark Kranti brand of trains, which were supposed to bring faster travel to non ac chaircar, & IISleeper classes. This appeared justified at that point of time.

* DPC shall not be economically feasible, only the empty slots in DFC can be utilised for the passenger trains just for higher avg. speed og about 100kmph, although the operating speed may be just 110kmph.

माह में तैयार किए गए 15 एसी थ्री टियर इकोनॉमी क्लास कोच
रेल कोच फैक्ट्री (आरसीएफ), कपूरथला ने महज तीन माह में 15 एसी थ्री टियर इकोनॉमी क्लास कोच तैयार किए हैैं। बीती 31 मई को आरसीएफ महाप्रबंधक रवींद्र गुप्ता ने इन्हें रेलवे बोर्ड को हैंडओवर किया। सबसे अहम बात यह है कि इन नए कोचों में 72 के बजाय 83 बर्थ हैैं।
इनमें सात कोच एनसीआर जोन यानी प्रयागराज, झांसी व आगरा मंडल को मिलेंगे। जल्द ही एनसीआर इन कोचों को रिसीव करेगा। प्रयागराज मंडल में सबसे पहले प्रयागराज एक्सप्रेस व हमसफर एक्सप्रेस में यह डिब्बे लगाए जाएंगे। आरसीएफ कपूरथला में वर्ष 2021-22 में ऐसे 248 कोच बनाने का लक्ष्य है।उत्तर मध्य रेलवे के सीपीआरओ डॉ शिवम शर्मा ने बताया कि प्रयागराज मंडल की वीआइपी ट्रेनों में प्राथमिकता के आधार पर थ्री टियर एसी इकोनॉमी क्लास कोच लगाए जाएंगे। धीरे-धीरे सभी यात्री ट्रेनों में इन कोचों को लगाए जाने की तैयारी है।

* In buses, the AC SL/Seat may cost around 1.5 to 2 times of non ac SL/Seat.
* In IR, AC travel is much costlier. ACIII travel costs around 2.5-3 times that of SL.
* If IR keep fares of ACIII economy lower than normal ACIII, then the million dollar question is "to what extent"?? A nominal discount say, just 2-5% (like GR) is of no use.

* Most probably the discount may be 0-15% i.e. it may cost about 2.5-3 times SL.
* IR is working on the plan to operate trains at 160kmph on Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Howrah routes after completion of the ongoing Western & Eastern DFC projects. These shall be fully ac trains.
* I would like to see all the express trains operating at 160kmph on these routes with the SL coaches being replaced by ACIII economy coaches.

But for that to happen, fare of ACIII coaches should be 1.5-2 times the SL fare just like buses. With a very high avg speed of of these trains (80-100 kmph), people may be ready to pay extra for time saved as well as for comfort of the new ACIII-E coaches.

to give a target timeframe right now,” Mr. Sharma said.
He said nearly 95% of land acquisition is complete in Gujarat and as a result tenders have been issued and the work has started. “We are trying that wherever we are getting land and there are no other issues...we are awarding contracts and work has started. But where we have land issues, it won’t be right to give a timeframe.”
Mr. Sharma said the Railways has achieved record freight loading for nine consecutive months since last September despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
To a query on the target to double freight loading by 2024, the Chairman said about 1,232 million tonnes freight was ferried last year (2020-2021). The target for the current year is 1,400 million tonnes and 2,024 million tonnes for 2024.
“This won’t just happen by increasing trains or improving asset utilisation...To achieve that, mega projects such as the two dedicated freight corridors need to be completed and we are confident to see that happen next year,” Mr. Sharma said.
“We believe we will definitely get more traffic if we improve the turnaround times and speeds. We are very certain of achieving our freight loading targets as major infrastructure projects come online.”

Indore end needs to be prioritised, where as actually work is going fast from Ujjain end.
** Indore-Mumbai HST(bullet) train demand seems to be too early. Keeping in view the poor patronage of Mumbai-Indore Duronto (just Bi weekly), traffic between IND & MUM may not be enough for a bullet train project.
** Fast connectivity is required from Indore to Mumbai, better option should be to go for a new line from Indore-Malegaon-Nashik-Mumbai fit for 160kmph train operation which can be accomplished at reasonable cost. Mumbai-Indore can be done in about 5-7 hrs by 160kmph ac trains, and in about 6-8 hrs by non ac 130kmph LHB trains. Same line can be used for operating container trains from Indore/Pithampur to JNPT
