Prestige doesn't mean those trains are great compared to other trains. But it reflects how these trains are sought after by common people. If you want to travel on a particular route, which train will you prefer compared to others? And which trains are well known for traveling on that particular route.
Rail fans does know every train and their timings like back of their hand, but what about others. They will only remember those trains that are well patronized. It may be due to the great timings at source and destination stations, but it all comes to how well those trains are known to common people.

Well if a train is most sought after may be coz of timings or punctuality compared to others only means it's more sought after by the general public means but that doesn't necessarily mean it has some kind of prestige in the eyes of general public. Only railfans see prestige in a train which they love for one reason or the other.
And sometimes IR did give LHB rakes to trains which are most sought after by the general public but in other cases it was all zonal favoratism especially here in the Southern zones.

In that case, Krishna express is more prestigious than Kerala express as it halts at almost every station and most sought by village and small town people to visit temple town Tirupati rather than Kerala express :D
I said the same thing in my first post. LHB will not be given based on the prestige of train. I don't know what we are arguing about.. 😅
