Entire social media for the past few days is filled with videos of travellers on trains struggling for space across all classes.
The absolute dead silence on this matter from the Railways and the Rail Minister is only making it worse.

I just travelled on 11302 (not even on a weekend) from Bangalore to Mumbai, and while I was fortunate enough to be on coach A2, the general and sleeper coaches and even 3AC until Kalaburgi looked like a scene from hell.

Sure, one major cause is the reduction of sleeper/general coaches but this government as per data compared to earlier governments has performed exceptonally on the front of electrification and track Doubling/Tripling - What is the use when new trains are not being added on this newly created track capacity?

How does one manage to mess it up this bad?

So as expected the train got delayed a lot and Vasco-Patna is just 30 kms away from catching it up at this point of time. Anyways being late is not a concern for a special train. May be slots issue are there.

12 hours late 🤦🤦 feeling sorry for the passengers who have to face such horrible situation. Such overcrowded train and on top of that hot weather across the route. I feel this train should have been given more no. of AC coaches atleast two 2AC and six 3AC/E.
Even Vasco Patna SF express some SL coaches should be replaced with 3AC coaches.

I have seen labor class from Goa even booking in tatkal 2AC in 12741. I had the opportunity to speak to some Bihari wholesale clothing owners at Madgaon and they told me they always go for AC travel in 12741/42 as SL coaches are too crowded and once their belongings was stolen in the train.
Even 12741/42 CC should be changed only 4 AC coaches for a 2000+ kms travelling train that too in hot climate is too bad. Atleast 3 SL and 1 GS should be replaced with 4 third AC coaches and additionally a pantry car should be added too.

People can afford AC fares but unfortunately they are denied it because very few are there. Only two AC 3 tier coaches in this train is absolutely nonsense.
It's not like only daily wage laborers only who travel in this train and even many daily wage laborers in Goa can afford to travel in 3AC to their home towns. They don't travel like every month may be once or twice a year. And travelling in SL coaches in temperatures above 40c is terrible.

In return direction too train is delayed badly.
But unfortunately even 12742 getting bad treatment trolled at PCOI.
Both Bihar to Goa trains are running late. If 12742 doesn't recover it's delay till BSL then expect it to arrive 2+ hours late at Vasco Da Gama on Monday morning and only God knows when will 07310 reach its destination.

This passenger train remains cancelled every now and then don't be surprised if SWR permanently cancels it in future to run more goods trains.
I saw one video on YouTube where one person at Vasco Da Gama was complaining that freight trains are running as usual in the afternoon then why is only this train cancelled.

two passengers to Karwar and Belgavi and also 2nd pitline at VSG was tendered and also Vasco YPR express made daily all coz of then Minister of State Railways Late Shri Suresh Angadi ji. VSG was finally starting to get what was due but after his unfortunate demise things at VSG again went to the neglected era. 2nd pitline work is abandoned, Karwar passenger running only till MAO and BGM passenger is cancelled and even VSG lost its weekly MAS express.

Also slot is good. It's like a clone of 12741/42 in terms of stoppages and speed.
SWR had put up proposal to run 12741/42 daily in last year IRTTC however due to slot sharing issues it did not materialize. Now I think this slot should be free and 12741/42 frequency should be increased to atleast 3 days a week and run in this slot upto MFP.

The reason you see empty rakes of VSG trains at Madgaon is because they are sent to Savordem for parking due to space constraints at Vasco Da Gama.
Konkan Railways are so efficient that they have delayed this train by 2 hours before Panvel itself and now 12741 is running ahead of this special train.
And no this train should run from Vasco Da Gama few others terminating at Madgaon. Why should every Goa bound train terminate at MAO.

CDO with a single pitline and no automatic coach washing undergoes PM of more rakes than MAO CDO with 2 pitlines and automatic coach washing. There must be a reason why Railway have not MAO PM of a single train after Konkan Kanya, Mandovi and those Diwa trains. And KR is so efficient that they don't even have funds for track doubling one of the highly congested single line in IR.

If KRCL is asking VSG PNBE SF to be terminated at MAO then why are they not taking the responsibility of its PM and asking ECR to do it ? 😅
They have 2 pitlines at MAO with automatic coach washing and only 4 or 5 trains undergo PM there that too 2 are MEMU.
KRCL should have simply asked SWR to commission 2nd pitline at VSG which is around 90% done and works stopped. Would have been much better solution and who are KRCL to deny Vasco Da Gama city a

And if KRCL are so concerned about Vasco Patna SF they should simply speed it up it only has 4 halts between MAO to PNVL and takes around 1.5 hours more than the crawler Konkan Kanya express which KRCL upgraded to SF category. Isn't this a clear cut bias ?
