Another similar accident as Coromondel exp was going to happen between Jaynagar Exp and NJP Shatabdi Exp due to driver fault of Jaynagar exp. Accident averted after passengers started shouting and then train stopped in loop line and shatabdi crossed via main line at high speed.

Whenever a train starts one of the two loco pilots have to send and receive 'All is Clear and Ok to proceed' message with the guard of the train. This is done by waving the green flag during the day, and by exchanging green lights at night. Therefore they would have been looking back. The question is normally Loco-pilots and guards exchange an audio communication too before starting any train.
So how could something like that even happen ? Maybe there was a lapse on the part of the pilot. But it is also being reported that the guard was vigilant and had applied the brakes from his side.

It is very less likely that something like Bahananga Bazar could have happened here since the guard was vigilant. Secondly as he would have approached the turn-over the loco pilot would have likely realized his mistake and stopped the train.

But it made the news since the public got hysterical, which is natural because Bahananga Bazar is still very much a fresh wound.

The LP/ALP duo will likely have to serve a suspension, but some amount blame should also lie on IR. Locomotives tend to get very hot in summer, no air conditioning, no toilets, make the working conditions of the LP/ALP very hard indeed. Such lapses in judgement can happen under such heat...

Agree
Also they are very stressed out due to excessive working hours. Something has to be done about this too to reduce the working hours of staff like LPs, section controllers, etc. i.e. staff on whom the safety of a running train is directly dependent.

In this country you protest by blocking the roads and railways causing inconvenience to the honest Indians then pelt stones and set fire to public properties and basically create havoc and then the govt. will bend backwards to fulfill your unrealistic and unfair demands the govt will always be on the backfoot and their IT cell spewing nonsense like this is a masterstroke see how the govt. exposed them and now just wait and watch something big is coming from the govt. when in reality they have just bowed down to the hooligans.
Also add to that the pop culture in Indian good law abiding people are projected like some mindless zombies whereas taporis, chapris, goons and even terrorists are projected as

Whatever happened could turn into another disaster. Even if JYG Exp was slow but Shatabdi would be cruising 110-130. Any idea whether the LP/ALP were newly posted? As they don't know about crossings how?

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
