People of Bahraich are upset they felt cheated and ignored.And will react in the upcoming election. ये पब्लिक है सब जानती है ! No direct train service from Bahraich to Lucknow. People of Bahraich patience is tested.So be prepared to face the consequences. They are not satisfied with this lollipop "Bahraich-Gonda broad gauge 60 KM". Bahraich-Jarwal Road Rail link (60 KM) is the solution to this year age problem.
You can imagine after every 5 minutes UPSRTC buses running from Bahraich to Lucknow.It means maximum people commute on this route. UPSRTC ordinary/AC buses fares are high and increase day by day. When will Bahraich-Jarwal Road Rail Link (Delhi Barauni Line) Work start ? Kaiserganj to Jarwal Road, Bahraich (UP) is a Broad gauge station 55 kilometers (34 miles) from district headquarters and lies on Delhi–Barauni line. Demand for direct train connectivity is at peak since Budget was sanctioned in 1997 (21 years ago) despite this no work took place including land acquisition work is pending from Bahraich to Jarwal road 55 Kilometers.
Local people travelling to state capital Lucknow and national capital New Delhi for various reasons like medical treatment, higher education, meeting relatives, jobs, catch flights and long routes trains. Bahraich-Lucknow road is life line for local people. Even local traders face difficulties they are not able to receive orders on time. Postal services also suffer. Because of this 'unnecessary additive transportation costs' give rise to high prices of goods and services in Bahraich.
Fare of UPSRTC buses from Bahraich to Lucknow (130 KM) is high. Load on road is too much. Sole means of conveyance is Bahraich-Lucknow road for goods and passenger. Large number of trucks and tankers runs on this route it gives rise to collision with passenger buses. Road rash is common. Daily road accidents are common on this route. Only two UPSRTC buses run from Bahraich to Delhi but fare is high.

Development of Bahraich district is blocking due to no train services from Bahraich to Lucknow, New Delhi and other metro cities.
Emergency cases patients die while travelling from Bahraich to Lucknow on middle of the way.
Local people actively start campaign like बहराइच-जरवलरोड रेलजोड़ो अभियान on Facebook, signature campaigns, through Twitters, YouTube, News articles etc. Bahraich-Burhwal broad gauge Line is in unnecessary delayed. Need of the hour.
Some where people of Bahraich feel they are deceived/Cheated/Ignored and neglected. Government sitting in state in Lucknow and at the Center New Delhi, the Ministry of Railway and Niti Ayog are not aware about the main issue of Bahraich district and here the representatives of people are not able to decide the priorities. Priority must had given to Bahraich-Jarwal Rail link rather than planning to extend New Railway line to Khalilabad. As said Lucknow is life line for people of Bahraich. But the representative of people diverted the pressing issue (Bahraich-Jarwal Rail link) of this District. Converting meter Gauge to Broad Gauge from Bahraich to Gonda 60 KM and planning Bahraich-Gonda 60 KM Electric line somewhere the priority is neglected and kept in dark. Yes this is also important but first start with the primary need. Cost of Bahraich-Burhwal rail link is only 529.96 Crores which is very less if combine the total cost of Bahraich-Khalilabad new rail line,Bahraich-Gonda Gauge conversion and Bahraich-Gonda rail line Electrification projects. Majority of local people travel Lucknow frequently for various reasons. UPSRTC ordinary/AC buses fares are high and increase day by day.UPSRTC buses are looting Bahraich public with heavy Bus fare and Bahraich public are tired with this unnecessary Bus fares UPSRTC Bahraich-Lucknow buses has the monopoly and collects maximum revenue from this district. Indian Railway is losing revenue can generate maximum revenue by running passenger and goods trains through Bahraich-Jarwal Rail link. Unemployment is another pressing issue of this region if you are not able to set up industries here tries to help people to migrate metro cities for jobs by providing rail connectivity to metro cities like New Delhi, Mumbai and other metro cities. In fact because of poor infrastructure in this district companies are discouraged to set up the plant. Yes Ministry of Railway fund is inappropriately utilized.
• Lack of good governance. Not able to deliver priorities/pressing issues first#
• Try to reduce UPSRTC Bahraich-Lucknow ordinary/AC buses fare for time being#
• Bahraich-Jarwal Rail link is unnecessary delayed. Need of the hour#
