GntGtl~ 134 blog postsWhy this train is going to GTL, if it by pass GTL ENG reversal and lot of time will be saved in its journey. it will reach early and start after some time at Bangalore.
One end GTL will lost direct connectivity to Visakhapatnam, but they have Amaravati train at the same time.
other end GTL is well connected with Bangalore with multiple trains.

I am talking about time saving if GTL is bypassed, for that SBC should have PF availability. Its understanding between SWR(SBC) and ECOR(BBS) when they made TT for arrivals/departure time, SCR can't ask SWR to adjust for early arrival at SBC for an EcoR train. Going to MYS is not an option, when the train starts its return journey with in 2 hrs of arrival at SBC.
Even if you bypass GTL you should have free slot and PF at SBC for early arrival so for one train TT change they cant change other train arrival timings at SBC so they running it in this way.Suppose If they bypass GTL and without PF availiblity at SBC they make train to have slack and waste that much time in journey only which they saved by bypassing then People start saying dummy train takes lot of time even bypassing GTL and reducing LR time also.
The slot of this train cant be changed in Swr as Bypl Sbc line is choked. If Gy Sbc line is doubled and if this train is terminated at the upcoming Baiyappanahalli Terminal then it can be speeded up by bypassing Gtl.
Earlier we had diesel issue now it's electric route no worries for passing via gtl.
Since it has great demand for this train at guntakal surrounded region and don't talk half knowledgly with ur convinient way.
Once we complete guntakal by pass line connecting guntur line as this train will be by passed gooty and will use direct route via khaderpet kallur line so from this it will save 20 mins time .

This train when started was planned to have morning arrival at Anantapur and prashanthi nilayam, you can save time without skipping Gtl also. The time saved due to LC at Gnt has only been added to slack between Bza and Gnt which shows they don't want to change timings further. Kondaveedu is running in the way you expected as of now
