1. Why are they constructing a new line from Dhanbad and then making it run parallel from Bhuli to Nichitpur? If the new line is set to be starting from Dhanbad , builiding a concurrent line from Dhanbad to Nichitpur seems a waste of resources for me. They could have made Nichitpur a junction instead and the new line could have been taken from there. It would be a quicker solution and lesser resources would be likely required. In that way the diverted trains could have started sooner. The only real reason why a new double line might be required is because in it heydays, the DC line used to handle mostly coal and iron ore laden freights, thus trying to reduce the load on the DHN-GMO railway tracks.

more... Instead of laying down new tracks from Kusunda to Bhuli, they could use an existing single line that was earlier used exclusively by freights, the line goes from Kusunda to Tetulmari (See figure) . If they upgrade and double this track, and then branch off at Nichitpur , some cost reduction and problems of land acquisition can be avoided. Getting fresh land would be a nightmare near Bhuli which is so densely populated.
3. I think, I maybe wrong, Dhanbad-Sonnagar tripling was approved in the budget to cope with the increasing loads on the Grand Chord. I can't remember but I saw something of that effect somewhere.
4. Hopefully the EDFC is up and running as soon as realistically possible. Things would hopefully improve in NCR and other places then. But I am afraid that stations like Dhanbad, Asansol and Bardhamaan which happen to be lying centrally in the respective cities would be prove to be a major hurdle for laying new EDFC tracks as either of the three aforementioned stations don't have free spaces to trade for! How are they going to lay down newer tracks is beyond me, especially near the Gaya Pool in the Dhanbad, and the railway overbridge near BNR more in Asansol!
5. When do you expect the new DC line to be completely laid and deemed operational? Is there any hope for building a Patherdih byepass? In my opinion the citizens of DHN and adjoining districts like BKSC & PRR should push for this idea, because if this line can be doubled and upgraded, long distance trains can directly take the Grand Chord route from Dhanbad itself instead of going through Bhojudih-Mahuda-Gomoh route which is also under danger of being shut down due the prevailing underground fires! Furthermore, once this line is devloped, connections to PRR, ADRA, BQA, KGP, TATA all can improve!
