i went to the prs today along a personal application and id proof but i was denied change of boarding saying it can not be done till the time tkt is confirmed however booking clerk denied to give it in written abt the same. I had requested him to put his remarks in written on my application so that i can approach railway authorities after my tkt gets confirmed quoting that i had approached prs before 24 hrs from departure time for change of boarding. Now can anything be done for change of boarding (time left for departure is less than 24 hrs) ?

i don't think..its worth a risk now..if ticket is confirmed even at chart prep..you have no option to board at ahmedabad or as the ticket says..if u board at any other station after that..you seat will be given to some other passenger..!!

The same thing was said in my case. But when my staff met the Reservation Supervisor and demanded a written answer, it was done. I have posted this incident in one of my earlier blogs. Please meet the Supervisor or the stations master and ask for the complaint book and record the incident. If you ask for complaint book, it may get done. In my case the change in boarding point was from mas to ajj. It was done at cbe prs after much arguments as explained above.

Yes, last time when i met PKV, he said he also had the ticket changed to a newer boarding point but without hassles and any questions.
