This 22 coached daily intercity is one huge train. If travelling unreserved, always try to reach to reach the front end of the train. Due to sheer length of the train most passengers never go to the front end of the train and pile up at the rear....
Thus quite a few handful of seats remain vacant at HWH!
However in following stations like Sheoraphulli and Bandel whose platform lengths are shorter than this 22 coached intercity, the reverse happens and the passengers load up at front...

In the BWN-DGR stretch this train is more crowded than a local train inspite of having 17 GS Coaches!
Tips 1 :- If boarding at HWH and try that preferably, board positively at front....
Tips 2 :- If you are boarding at SHE & BDC try the same although I can assure you that your chances will be much reduced due to the expertise of the daily passengers!
