Please understand that there is NO such regular train in IRI (as mentioned in the article). However, if Imaginary TTs are copy/pasted and posted in WhatsApp/FB as a REGULAR train in a deliberate effort to mislead others, we are unable to do anything about it. Such fake news are all over FaceBook. News clips are copy/pasted from different sources and modified to mislead others. In fact, by the same coin, the same perpetrators may also copy/paste TTs from the official website, modify it, and spread the fake modified TT in WhatsApp.

So once again, please note that there is NO SUCH Train in IRI that will come in search either within IRI or through search engines. We have an Imaginary Train section that is CLEARLY MARKED as such, and is NOT indexed by Google or other search engines. If mischievous elements copy/paste parts of the TT and present them, it is outside the purview of IRI. Similarly, if newspaper contents are copy/pasted and modified and posted on FB, the newspaper cannot do anything about it.

There is no reason to be unnecessarily sarcastic about anything here. There are no barn doors or horses here. All our regular trains are well-vetted by our members/monitors. There is NO (and never was) such regular train on our site, as mentioned in the article.

site for members to upload their own TTs to experiment with. And yes, almost ANY TT can be uploaded there. Deleting or not deleting any trains there (whether or not they are called horses within barn doors or otherwise) would make NO difference. Such trains are CLEARLY MARKED so that there is no confusion. Such trains also do NOT APPEAR in ANY search - either within the site or on Google, Bing and other search engines. However, if any sections of such imaginary trains are explicitly and selectively copy/pasted, modified and spread on Facebook or WhatsApp, then we are unable to do anything about it.

It is for FaceBook/WhatsApp which have spread like a malignant cancer amongst our society, to stop the spate of fake news throughout the world. Also, due to the above-mentioned sites, people have become habituated to half-digest the information presented to them, jump to conclusions and spread it to others.

Anyhow, at IRI, we have taken the opposite course. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, but there is good faith and diligence in updating correct info. Mischief-mongers are NOT allowed to deliberately spread false information in IRI - unlike in Facebook/WhatsApp. Also, unlike other social media, we actively encourage our members to prioritize their real life and take a break from IRI. We do what we can, but this remains a small website in a corner of the internet.

If he is abusing "everyone", then the question to be asked is: "Why did you not flag an Objection?" (which takes less than a second!!!!)

FLAGGING an Objection.

On the one hand, we have members complaining that "ONLY 6" members are needed to delete replies. But in this post, among the HUNDREDS of readers, "NOT EVEN 6" members took the minor trouble of flagging the Objection "Abusive" in the one place where it is really needed!!! It only takes 1/10 of a second to flag an Objection!!!

What this means is that EVERYONE agrees and APPROVES of the language!!

Anyhow, the abusive members now stands permanently BANNED.

Secondly, it is requested of all members NOT TO COMPLAIN that
"ONLY 6 members are needed to delete/archive the post".
because on the few occasions when it is REALLY needed,
we are NOT ABLE to find EVEN 6 members to flag Objections!!!

Members have the freedom to mark "Great" on posts as per their own judgment. There is no penalty for marking Great on abusive posts.

But what is NOT allowed is marking a "Great" on abusive posts, and ALSO simultaneously complaining that "FMs are not deleting the abusive post"!!!

It was not required to flag Objections in a batch, one after the other. Yes, that would take time.

The main point was that after reading any blog post, if you find it actually abusive with bad/offensive language, pl. spend another HALF a SECOND to silently and efficiently flag an Objection, rather than waste another 10 minutes to write a LONG blog post complaining to FMs to delete the objectionable post, and further lamentations, leading to further pointless discussions and arguments. All of these result in much, much MORE waste of time,...
