It used to run with twin WDM's because of ghats . May be, they will change loco at UBL?
AFAIK Loco Change from diesel to diesel doesn't happen for any train at Hubballi Junction

Every train in Braganza Ghats except Amaravati express runs with a single EMD.
Then at CLR it is put in idle and two/three UBL EMDs are attached which do the braking duties till QLM.

This train should get electric loco until Hubli why Railways is wasting diesel loco? Same applies for YPR Bikaner express E loco can be given bw Solapur to Ahmedabad.
Locos are very scare now and IR all zones are utilizing old diesel of 2500HP also for passenger as well as freight trains. Thus week I saw a coal loaded freight trains being hauled by double WDM2 2500HP engine against the practice of double WAG9 giving 12000HP in Vskp BZA section double line whole all trains running along BZA BVRM RJY trunk route are also hauled y double old diesels.
