Both my travels were in Rani too between Bangalore to Londa and then to Goa in Amaravati exp.
So this section would have been crossed by you in good daylight

Plat 1 of HUBLI is awesome but plat 4&5 still are very horrible... they could hav improved it while upgrading the Junction... trains like Haripriya,HYB-KOP arrive there and pax find it difficult to wait for train due to bad smell....
SWR is known for maintaining cleanliness of its Rake's or Platforms.
