For the people who are new to Mysore and bound to L&T or Infosys , Kindly board the bus number 116 and 119 , both are available in plenty (AC as well as normal fare). Infosys will be the Penultimate halt of that route.
The bus stop is just opposite to the Main entrance.
If you have zero charge in your mobile and if you have lots of luggage and if you need an Auto, kindly go for the prepaid Auto counter. It is available in near both the entrances.

The autos are hell expensive in Mysore, Uber or Ola is I feel a cheaper and a much convinient option.Autos should be kept as last option.
Yes sir , that's why I mentioned when there is no charge in mobile. Autos are the last option in that beautiful city.

The best travel tip so far and MYS might be the first station to get ONline Retiring room booking facility though run via PPP ...
I don't see any link to reserve retiring rooms as you have mentioned.The website offers no link for online reservation of retiring rooms.

Waiting Rooms on platform 1, open round the clock, can be used by bona fide passengers holding AC, First & SL Class tickets. Waiting rooms are provided with toilets, urinals, mobile battery chargers, RO water plants, LCD, televisions, newspapers & magazines, clock & timetable.
i think train tips with waiting room update must feature a picture, because a picture is worth 1000 words #tipsuggestion
for ex - i observed that jaipur station waiting room has rats and lot of rats , but if i post a tip without pic then no one will believe.

I hope Mysore Junction amenities are inspirational to other major stations across the IR network as well.

The retiring rooms at the Mysuru railway stations are privatized, it can't be book online through irctc website.
