The Tilak Bridge railway station, located on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, was initially known as Hardinge Bridge. Its history and renaming are illustrated on the walls of the passage leading to Gates 5 and 6 of the ITO Metro station. The station was renamed Tilak Bridge in 1973 and is currently...

undergoing redevelopment, with a cost of ₹26.11 crore. This redevelopment will provide passengers with amenities similar to larger stations. Approximately 10,000 passengers use the station daily, which is strategically located near numerous government offices and serves as a hub for commuters from Meerut, Modinagar, and Ghaziabad. These commuters often work in ITO, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Patiala House, and Baroda House. For many years, an anonymous poet would recite their latest poems at the station, particularly before the arrival of the Meerut shuttle train. There are no other major trains that stop at Tilak Bridge, which is located before the Mintu Bridge and New Delhi railway station. The New Delhi station was established in 1926, suggesting that Tilak Bridge was built around the same time. Tilka Bridge holds a special place in the history of Indian hockey as Harbinder Singh, a legendary player who won gold at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, has lived in the railway colony behind the station for almost half a century.

Tilak Bridge railway station, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg pe, pehle Hardinge Bridge ke naam se jaana jaata tha. ITO Metro station ke Gate 5 aur 6 ke paas wale galiyare ki diwar pe iske banne aur naam badalne ki kahani dikhaayi gayi hai. 1973 mein is station ka naam Tilak Bridge...

rakha gaya aur ab isko 26.11 crore rupees kharch karke re-develop kiya ja raha hai. Isse bada station jaise suvidhaen milengi. Yaha roz lagabhag 10 hazar passengers aate hai aur ye bahut acche jagah pe hai. Paas mein bahut saare government office hain. Is station se Meerut, Modinagar, Ghaziabad se log Delhi mein naukri karne aate hain. Ye sab ITO, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Patiala House aur Baroda House mein kaam karte hai. Subah 9 baje ke aaspaas jab Meerut shuttle Tilak Bridge pe rukti hai to sauon passengers utarte hai. New Delhi station 1926 mein shuru hua, isliye aisa mana jaata hai ki Tilak Bridge bhi tabhi bana hoga. Tilak Bridge Indian hockey ke history mein ek khaas jagah rakta hai kyunki Harbinder Singh, ek legendary player jinhe 1964 Tokyo Olympics mein gold mila tha, station ke peeche railway colony mein lagabhag aadhi sadi se rahte hain.

यमुना पर बनेगा रेलवे का नया पुल, नई दिल्ली से गाजियाबाद के बीच ट्रेनों की आवाजाही होगी आसान

A new railway bridge is being built parallel to the Tilak Bridge over the Yamuna River to improve train operations between New Delhi and Ghaziabad via Anand Vihar. The new bridge, which will be about 600 meters long, is expected to be completed in a year and will cost approximately 218...

crore rupees. The construction is necessary due to the increasing number of trains operating from New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations, which has created a need for additional tracks. The existing Tilak Bridge currently has two tracks, and the construction of additional tracks is underway. The new bridge will benefit passengers travelling towards the east, and will also help ensure timely train operations from New Delhi railway station. In total, there are 25 bridges over the Yamuna River in Delhi, including 2 railway bridges, 4 metro bridges (one under construction), one RRTS bridge under construction, and 16 road bridges.

Delhi mein Yamuna par Tilak Bridge ke saath saath ek aur railway bridge banaya ja raha hai, jiska maqsad New Delhi se Anand Vihar ke raaste Ghaziabad tak train operations ko behtar banana hai. Ye new bridge, jo 600 meters lamba hoga, ek saal mein ban kar taiyaar ho jaayega aur...

Current mein Tilak Bridge mein do tracks hain, aur extra tracks ka construction chal raha hai. New bridge east direction mein safar karne wale passengers ko fayda dega, aur yeh New Delhi railway station se train time pe chalne mein bhi madad karega. Total mein, Delhi mein Yamuna par 25 bridges hain, jinmein 2 railway bridges, 4 metro bridges (ek under construction), ek RRTS bridge under construction, aur 16 road bridges hain.
