If you analyse the problem, you will come to conclusions:
1. Metro train: which prevents any cost effective solutions. When one is ready to spend thousands of crores for taking a line from city to airport, railways are not able to lay a simple 5 km line?!?

Biggest problems of all these is taxi lobby and airport metro line in hope to recover some of the loan of bmrcl
You are right, But again Taxi lobby, BMTC, Toll booth they will get affect after Metro connectivity happens to Airport, say after 5 yrs. Actually SWR should show some interest towards this under utilized route.
