This increase was driven by significant growth in the loading of maize, wheat, and bauxite, with 368 rakes of maize, 38 rakes of wheat, and 124 rakes of bauxite loaded in August 2024 compared to 218, 19, and 104 rakes, respectively, in August 2023. Passenger revenue also rose by 16.91%, reaching 2059 crore rupees, generated by 102 million passengers travelling in the ECR region.
