Additionally, Kumbh Special trains will be run for pilgrims' convenience, and the length of the platforms at Cantt station will be extended and new sheds for passengers will be built. The capacity of several trains, including Varanasi-Bahraich Intercity and Varanasi-Rajgir Buddha Purnima Express, will be increased by adding coaches as per requirement. The DRM was accompanied by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (Northern Circle) Dinesh Chandra Deswal, ADRM Lalji Chaudhary, Station Director Gaurav Dixit, and other officials during the announcement.
