Basava express should cover MYS SUR and SUR MYS in 15.5-16 hours. Atleast 2 hours journey time to be cut. It can start by 1530 from Mysore, reach SBC by 1745-1800 and reach SUR by 0545-0600. Similarly, from SUR side, it should reach SBC by 0730 and MYS by 1000.
With electrification and doubling etc, if journey time is not reduced, what is the use of spending so much?
