Even i am not in support of Durg and Gondia because Kanpur Vande Bharat skips Aligarh and Ghaziabad as well.
They are comparing speed of Shatabdis in North Central Railway(Fortunately my screen name as well). But they are providing stoppages like any other zone.

kuch logon ko har baat mein dikkat hai. Jisko jana hoga wo jayega kisi ke expert opinion se kisi ko lena dena nahi hota hai. Jinko bolna hai bolte rahe. Atleast dheere dheere infrastructure is being upgraded.
Route needs to be longer to skip stations you mentioned as the whole load will come directly on Bilaspur and Raipur to fill the train.
Till now i haven't seen any train be it Duronto or LTT PURI LTT ever skipped Gondia & DURG above 40kmph as in case of the stations which you mentioned generally skipped on MPS.(Correct me for the last few lines if i am wrong)
So either extend this VB or Speed up required by 1:30 hrs at least.

Vande Bharat skips Ghaziabad at 60 .
Even speed restriction at Mathura, Aligarh and Tundla as well but many trains including Vande Bharat and Gatiman skip
