Ballashah Gudur has been given a certificate approving its top speed of 130kmph two years ago. In October 2022, all LHB trains are allowed to go at 130kmph, along with many other routes that have been upgraded. In January 2023, the Vijayawada-Vskp section is upgraded to 130kmph for VB trains, and from February/March, other trains will also be allowed. In the JTJ section, all LHB trains can now go at 130kmph. The new timetable (TT) hasn't been implemented in any of the sections in SCR yet, but it might be implemented in October 2023. This will happen when the new TT comes into effect and the majority of the train drivers get their training and certificates for running at 130kmph. It's not about a divide between the North and South, but rather about the technical requirements on the ground and the clearance of cargo trains due to the increased speed of express trains running on the main lines. All these parameters are being tested in different zones before they are implemented in the TT, because cutting the running time in one zone will affect the timings in other zones and cause clashes with other trains.
