a little over 825 passengers so far. To address this, the Railways are considering extending the route of the Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express to Varanasi. Officials believe this extension would increase passenger numbers and improve the train's performance. This strategy was previously successful in the case of the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat, which saw increased ridership after its route was extended to Prayagraj. The Vande Bharat Express is the fastest train on the Meerut-Lucknow route, taking only 7 hours compared to the 8:25 hours of Rajya Rani Express and 9:30 hours of Nauchandi Express. The train departs from Lucknow Charbagh at 2:45 PM and reaches Meerut at 9:55 PM daily. The return journey starts from Meerut at 6:35 AM and reaches Lucknow at 1:00 PM. The train operates six days a week, except on Tuesdays, making stops at Moradabad and Bareilly during both journeys. Senior DCM of North Railway, Rajnish Tiwari, highlighted the potential benefit of extending the Vande Bharat Express to Varanasi, especially during festivals. As far as I've observed
RKMP-REWA VB doesn't run that empty as it seems. Though I agree the patronage is not upto the mark but still it see a good amount of current and on oats booking. It started getting good patronage but since 22145/46 BPL-REWA SF started recently that too a weekend run many passengers shifted there as well due to convenient timing and overnight run.

Yes 1st charting always shows lots of empty seats, but I have seen a very good number of passengers getting deboard and board at RKMP in REWA VB.
So its obvious that many of them have booked in Current Booking or onboard from TTE.
Although to point out that REWA doesn't provide good number of passengers to it due to its rather inconvenient timings, most takers are from Satna and Jabalpur. That's why I though that instead of REWA it can go upto PRYJ to fetch more number of passengers as

Train ki top speed 100 km/h se zyada nahi ho payi hai, halanki ye 130-160 km/h ki speed se chalne ke liye banayi gayi hai. Private contractors zyada commission kamaane ke liye yaatriyon ko kharab aur baasi khana serve kar rahe hain. Iske karan, Vande Bharat Express mein occupancy rates kam ho gaye hain, booking 100% se niche hai, jabki is route par chalne wali regular trains ki booking 140-150% se zyada hai. Patronage thik hone lga tha iska, kyi baar spot kiya mne isko RKMP pe, deboarding or boarding dono kaafi sahi the, weekend pe to almost full jaati thi. Infact last month hi spot kiya h ise there were very good number of passenger in it.
But ab BPL-REWA SF chal gyi h that too with much better timing and weekend run to iska patronage or kam hoga. Iske paas ab 2 hi option h, ya to Rake RKMP ko transfer krke RKMP-PRYJ VB chalai jaye via JBP (difficult task) otherwise JBP Div hi rake retain kre or JBP VB chalaye desired route pe.

Wese I see BSB and Raipur (via KTES, BSP) only as the feasible options to some extent, proposed VB between JBP-R via NIR would face occupancy issue as only JBP and Raipur would have the burden of filling the complete train, rest other halts will contribute very less number of passengers.

Around 8 hr 40-45 mins via SGO
But via CNB JHS it can be done in 8 hr 15 to 30 minutes as that route is fast with higher MPS.

BPL/RKMP-VGLJ in 3 hours (20171/72 regularly do this in 2 hour 45/50 minutes)
Another 3 hours between VGLJ-CNB (current fastest is Kashi Mahakal with 3 hr 7 minutes till GOY)
and CNB-PRYJ in 2 hours (done by both BSB VB)
+ 15 Minutes slack

Inka bas chale to Bhopal ki saari trains Indore extend krwa le. I don't understand what is the problem with these people, why don't they think that Bhopal is not a small town but a 2.5 million+ city and a State Capital, that has requirement of its own to fulfill, they think train will pass through Bhopal anyhow so they are getting trains, are No yaar, availability of seats/ alloted quota also matters. Bas har baat pe Indore Indore. Indore is a great city and it requires trains I agree but that doesn't mean that demand has to be met on the expense of Bhopal's own trains. Aye din kbhi Amarkantak, kbhi Rewanchal kbhi Bhopal-Pratapgarh, and all these trains run full through the year from Bhopal itself. Indore can ask for new trains but no paka pakaya maal chaahie.

DRUCC member from INDB always eye for Bhopal trains, as if Bhopal doesn't have people going towards those places. What will passengers from Bhopal do if it get extended to INDB. It will reduce the quota and hell after extension citing reversal issue, it will get bypassed from SHRN.

So a big no for extension, agar Indore ko itni need hai UP ki train ki then they can have special train to Lucknow, Pratapgarh in festival season.

Indore-Patna Slot is shared with BPL-MBDP, because of this only frequency of BPL-MBDP is also not getting increased even after huge demand.
A different train is needed from Indore towards Pratapgarh or Varanasi, or they can use one of their existing trains to use that route.
