If u have booked online just go to the backside of enquiry office (pf1 side) there is counter, show your booking details they will check and give a small paper with details written on it and give it to the person who is sitting in front of Dormitory entry, enter necessary information in register and you go..

3. It has sleeper, upper class and general waiting room.. no one is asking for entry or tickets at upper class waiting room.. its very small only 5-6 long chairs, 2 working ACs.. too much mosquito 🦟 and unclean washroom..
As i deboarded at 3 am ... I went outside had some caffeine via sting... Water.. and then i came to upper class waiting room, its empty only 2-3 pax... I slept on seat, mosquitoes were doing their job then i closed the door and washroom and windows.. and packed my self in my towel so that mosquito need some hardwork now, after few minutes room started getting chilled .. perfect 2 hours nap for next journey...

4. Station has few options of vendors for eating stuff but if u r deboarding here prefer to go outside and you will get some more options also litti chokha available at 30rs for 4..

5. Auto rickshaw available outside 24×7
If your going to BRBCL or NTPC side you can get autos after 3-4 am for that route else you have to do break journey..

to puri might help me atleast i can sleep here as i know last time in 2011 i came here station has better amenities...
So i booked UTS ticket went to 2S and reached PURI
I was so tired of continuous 25 hours of travel without having proper meal and rest . . .. thereby i was looking for waiting room and TTEs were checking tickets i told him that "mujhe neend aa rhi h waiting room btao.. ticket subha check kr lena" 😹
He said ticket dikhao phle mene uts khola aur ticket dikhaya fir bola ki udhar h waiting room.. then i went in waiting room it was empty, peaceful with cool temp.. no smell no garbages.. neat and clean.. slept on marble made sitting area and directly waked up at around 8-9 am..
So here are few things to tell u all... Specially for solo travelers
1. IRCTC Food Track available and it was open in Night as well, however food are limited in nights.. and outside station few shops were opened i didn't went to main road but shops were open as it can be easily visible from the exit/entrance

2. Waiting Rooms available and was in very Good Condition... Washrooms were neat and clean .. even in morning i at 9 am after used by lots of people still it was neat and clean...
As in evwry 6 hours they came for cleaning
So waiting rooms are best, dont know about retiring room but booking was closed online so no idea about that.. however hotels in the town is available at good rates being religious tourist city u can find hotels of any budget

3. Autos/E-Rickshaw available outside station and also govt bus also available for going to beach and Temple.. fare for beach was 5 rs only.. i have attached the Bus timing pic.. however for beach auto takes Rs 20 (i m talking about Golden Beach)

4. It is well known tourism based city which has most famous temple under char dham.. everyone knows that, apart of it there are many places related to Religion and Historical also bio diversity..
However i must say you must visit Golden Beach which is under India's Top 10 Cleanest & Finest Beaches.. feels like goa with no liquor... But for family its best, no crowd at all entry fees rs 20 and for bath entry fee rs 50..
It is covered and has entry / exit points . .. i have attached pics of beach
It has life guard available who are here to safeguard you for any issue in sea water
There are showers available here seperate for men & women and also changing rooms...
This was best thing 😌
Bath in Sea fresh my mood.. i had train at 11 am so i have to go early else i will spend 2-3 hours more here

5. Water vending machine available here and it works

6. Jaganath Temple Trust counter at entrance is available also with souvenir shopee

What i Dont like is that the platform height is very low, very difficult to sr citizen pax and divyangjans

This is one of worst station in India being big city as well as Capital City
1. Waiting Rooms are in pathetic conditions, upper class waiting rooms had to go for paid washrooms that is outside waiting hall on pf1

2. Food options are very less only IRCTV FOOD Track available that too dont open for 24 hours and as per railway rules it should be open for 24 hours along with other Vendors shops (sr dcm may impose fine if thwy found it close)
3-4 small vendors outlet served acked item food... Snacks biscuit as usual
I purchased a maggie noodles as usual worst in taste but what to do when no food options available and the moron vendor putted extra water into it as well which ruined more .. i dont want to spend a single min at this station i was fed up.. i took jaganath mail and went to Puri
3. Forgot in night that you will find out any shop that is open outisde , which hits me hard that being capital and big city the city has no options available after 11 pm... No zomato, swiggy available in night
4. Dormitory/ retiring rooms were closed for booking even when majority of stations opened this after covid19... Hotels available outside don't know much about them
I will suggest dont halt here for long better if you are going to Puri go directly there or reach Puri by any means for better facilities and services availability
5. Autos available outside station and as usual its only thing which is available in night 😆 ..
6. TTEs always available at Exit Platform for checking tickets.. and they grab lots of people without Tickets..

I deboarded here by SC-BZA Special..
Bit early morning 🌄
As i wasn't aware of station design so i took south side exit which leads to long walk for mainroad and no shops present there..
So...

i used google map and took the main entrance building entry/exit..
I asked locals about shops they said take left and walk 100 meters..
As its early morning very few shops were opened
There is no language issue here, people whom i interact at shop were familiar with Hindi & English..
I did my breakfast, it was 4 idli with chutney at 20 Rs only..
However it was not so tasty 😅 still i need to fill my tummy ..
1. Station Building is very nice and somewhay unique in Design
2. Cleanliness is good, work for cleaning going on as well..
3. Waiting room is too small as compared to station plus washrooms are not in so good condition.. however cleaning staff came and they just saw, wipe out surface and then gone.. nothing to with comodes and wash basin..
4. Food options are also very limited... I didn't find any better option of food as its morning time may be thats the issues but still at around 9 am nothing available
5. AP state transport buses available outside station as its main road, autos also available..
6. Overall for me being division it really needs better Infrastructure in every means.. considering a big station in terms of handling trains as well .. i rate it as 3.5/5
