Grievance Description : Train No: 12959/12960 Dadar Bhuj Biweekly Superfast Express This train was given an afternoon 14:35 hrs departure from Dadar on Tuesday and Saturday. But when the train was introduced it started with a 23:55 hrs departure which was later changed to 00:05 departure which is an inconvenient time for people travelling from suburbs to Dadar. When asked the reason for change in departure time, Railways said that 14:35 slot was not feasible due to suburban traffic and maintenance issues, but now they have given the same departure slot to Bandra Jaisalmer Weekly Express. Maintainence can be done at Bhuj Where train is stabilized for about 8 hrs time. Also the arrival at Gandhidham and Bhuj are 16:15 hrs and 17:50 hrs respectively which are never preferred. The reason being that late evening and night travelling locally in Kutch region is not preferred and viable as there are very less options available if someone wants to travel further interior of the region. This train runs late every other day arriving at Gandhidham 30-40 mins late on an average which further adds to the travelling issues for people going to interior Kutch buy Road Transport from Gandhidham/Bhuj If this train arrives in Kutch Region before afternoon then people can find enough transport option to reach to their remote villages. Since trains are the only options available for entire Kutch region, Morning arrival at Gandhidham and Bhuj will be benificial. Morning Arrival at Bhuj can also help to run this train train Triweekly which again would be beneficial to the people of Kutch and North Gujarat. This train can depart Dadar at 14:35 hrs and Arrive Bhuj at 8:00 hrs next day In Return it can depart Bhuj at 18:35 hrs and Arrive Dadar at 12:00 hrs next day Also, Bandra Bikaner Ranakpur Express can depart at 13:05 hrs from Bandra as there is enough time to fill water as it arrives Bandra at 9:40 hrs in morning. Trains having 14:35 hrs departure time from Bandra can be shifted to 15:05 hrs departure slot on days when Dadar Bhuj Express runs. This would be a feasible option as Ranakpur Express will reach Bikaner 2 hrs early which people of Rajasthan would prefer and also running all weekly, Biweekly and daily trains to Bikaner during same Slot from Mumbai would get a break and people can plan their Journey accordingly. At present, Dadar-Bikaner Biweekly Express, Bandra Bikaner Weekly Express and Bandra Bikaner Ranakpur Express all run at a mere interval of 30 mins

Details : At present 19115/19116 Bandra – Bhuj Sayaji Nagri Express and 19131/19132 Bandra – Bhuj Kutch Express day time daily services are available for Kutch area with halt at Borivali. To provide late night service after completing work in Metro city, 12959/12960 Dadar – Bhuj weekly train has been introduced. Hence to change timings of this train i.e. 14.55 hrs instead of 00.05 hrs is not desirable as same would be resented by present users. Further already two trains are available during the time of 14.50hrs to 17.10 hrs which is almost same as proposed. Moreover, 12959/12960 Dadar – Bhuj Express depart Dadar at 00.05 hrs on Wednesday and Saturday. Change in timings of 12959/12960 Dadar – Bhuj Express ex. Dadar at 14.35 hrs instead of 00.05 hrs is not desirable owing to non availability of path as 12989 Dadar – Ajmer Express depart at 14.35 hrs from Dadar on Saturday and 12490 Dadar – Bikaner Express depart at 14.35 hrs from Dadar on Wednesday. Moreover change in departure of 12960 Bhuj – Dadar Express ex Bhuj at 18.35hrs would affect the running of morning peak hour suburban services.
