Hi,
I have been regular traveller in Chennai local suburban train between Chennai Egmore and Chengalpet travelling in First Class . I use to purchase First Class season ticket which mentions that this season ticket is applicable for MAil/Exp trains.
My question is, with this First Class season ticket, Can I travel in Express trains getting into Second class reserved compartment ?

Also checked the website - click here Under section Validity , it says that First Class season ticket holders are allowed to board first class coaches in express trains during day time only.
Any inputs?

I have been regular user of suburban train between Chennai Beach and Chengelpat. I usually travel in First Class compartment that is normally comes in 3 coaches in 12 car train . In most of the First Class coaches , seats were designed poorly in such a way that people cannot sit on opposite seats at same time as it is too close and causing inconvenience in multiple ways. Also seats are not properly arranged in a row as some rows has 2 seater and other has 3 seater.

I see that MG track that is lying unused between Tambaram and Chengelpat has been removed by SR and ballast has been levelled . Also some numbers of railway tracks to be laid is lying along the way. Is there any work started by SR to lay 3rd/4th BG line between Tambaram and Chengelpat which is pending for more than 5 years
