This query is about extension of journey. Earlier, when we had to catch another train after deboarding at a particular station,...
more... we used to request the TTE to prepare an EFT and we used to travel to the further station, without a need to purchase another ticket. If for example, you deboard Ashram Express 12916 at Ahmedabad and wish to catch 16388 Ernakulam Okha express from ADI to OKHA, we would get an ETF prepared by the TTE of 16388 and we shall continue our journey till OKHA. But seems that has been discontinued and we need to purchase a general ticket from ADI to OKHA and then present it to the TTE on board 16388 and pay the difference and travel in the reserved coaches. Can anyone confirm whether the “journey extension” facility which was available earlier, has been discontinued and we need to buy a new general ticket for extending our journey ??
