As always, the current/new RM laid down that 'Safety' is his prime concern and that mesures need to be taken to ensure they have a quality system in place.
Infact there are a whole lot of things the current RM needs to pay attention.First is ofcourse of passenger safety and security, then comes things like food, hygeine, cleanliness, schedules, track maintanence. I still feel that even after decentralizing the catering system in certain zones, the catering hasn't really improved, (maybe barring certain trains).

more... to, too many, need to be filled urgently or else the security wil never be tightened, since we won't have enough people to monitor them.
Also, since fares haven't been increased for quite sometime now, I was reading an article that simply the freight income isn't able to give the railways that surplus which is required to mantain the standards which railways is required to (though not sure too much about it). The coming Rail Budget next year might see the fares being increased.
