PRS console/MAS infd that t no 22629 reservation suspended by CR. From December onwards service changed from Friday to another day.
So Would be thursday departure from DR. Biweekly or Triweekly also possible. Or else will be idle from Sat to Wed.

Hope they make it a biweekly train and run one day via pallani, pollachi with a slight change in the timing when it runs from Dadar to Tirunelveli as it arrives early in the morning at Goa (Thivim & Madgaon), the monsoon time table of this train 22629 is a bit convenient than its normal timings as it reaches its first sheduled halt in Goa around 7.30 a.m and also reaches Dindugul, Madurai at a very convenient time... And it would be better if more number of seats are alloted from Goa to Tamil Nadu as Tamilians residing in Goa are finiding it difficult to get confirmed tickets as this is the only train to DG, MDU, VPT from Konkan.

At least they should have added 1 Sleeper coach and 1 more Unreserved coach making it a 17 coach train... Its difficult to get confirmed tickets during winter & summer season... It's the only train connecting central Tamil Nadu with Konkan Region... After knowing this also they have reduced the coaches...

Maybe... The last option is to run it as biweekly... If time slot is available...

If this train 22629 will run with LHB coaches then they may remove 2 unreserved compartments or 1 Sleeper & 1 unreserved compartment to relace those with EOGs, which will again give rise to seat availability problem... First only we are finding it very difficult to get a confirmed ticket from Goa to Madurai... If LHB then they should increase its sleeper & AC compartments and make it a 23 coach train...

Yeah that's there... But they can run it as biweekly or triweekly train... But again time issues...
I agree with you... Previously it was running with 17 coaches... Now it's made 15 coaches (LHB)... They could add 2 Sleeper coaches & make it a 17 coach train... During summer & winter seasons, some sleeper coaches of this train are like a unreserved coach full of RAC and Waiting list passengers sitting on the floor...

They should shift to LTT n have 20+ coach as there is a huge demand for this train... If you don't believe me then check its seat availability during winter and summer from Goa to TN... Always in waiting list above 90 which usually doesn't get confirmed...

It would be great if IR makes this train a permanent train and extend it till Madurai as MDU does not have any direct train to Goa or the Konkan Region other than the only train 22630 which runs full throughout the year... If this train (02197) gets extended till MDU then it may have a good patronage and many passengers will get benefited by its services...
