Nice Pic, But are you sure its 01705 not -1706. Reason for same being this train reaches Jabalpur late in the night by 8 or 9 and it seems pic was taken during day time. Thanks

Ok.. because if i go with the date, this train arrived 30 min before on 17 April as per the data available ha ha ha .. Also if i go by you train was late by almost 12 hours

Well i believe the solution of this problem is to have Elevated Railway Track. You can refer to Kenya railway for that. In order to protect wild life in one of the biggest National Park they built the elevated rail line ( Mombasa to Nairobi) in the national Park section. One can google for the same. It will not be 100 % effective at least it will reduce the causalities drastically.

Before replying to this answer, I want to share some history. Gondwana Express started in Mid 90 and at that time its name was Mahamaya Express ( JBP bound). After that Its name was changed to Gondwana Express. reason for the same being if you see Both Jabalpur bound and Bilaspur / Nagpur ( Initially it was Nagpur) Bound covered Gond Region, so it was renamed to Gondwana Express. In 2013 when 22181 Started it was not given Gondwana name just to avoid the confusion.

Ha Ha Ha , No Buddy. It was not started by Mayawati. In fact when it was started both in Center as well as in MP ( CG was not created at that time) it was Congress Government. In Jabalpur local MP was from BJP. When it was started there were news at that time that it might be renamed to Sansakdhani Express. Also one more point to be noted its Departure time fro Jabalpur was changed a lot however Arrival time was always same in the Nizamudin ( 0720 hours).

I don't think there is nothing wrong in the name. Please note that when this train was started before the creation of Chattisgarh . Its used to Unified Madhya Pradesh. Also please note that Rani Durgawati most famous Gond queen was from Jabalpur.
