Why Itarsi? Why should a superfast train like Tamilnadu Express halt at Itarsi. It has so many other halts. You must have known that earlier Tamilnadu was stopping at Itarsi which was in fact an unscheduled halt.
Tamilnadu runs at maximum capacity eventhough Itarsi (as a halt) is not considered. If people from JBP want to go to MAS, they have other trains besides Ganga Kaveri, like Sangamitra, Bagmati, Gaya-MAS Exp, and so on. They have so many alternatives.
As I suggested on Sep 2, at 04:54 p.m. Itarsi halt should be

Whatever be the stop this train is going to cover the distance between MAS-NDLS in 32 hours only. Removing these stops is not going to solve any big thing. Itarsi and Gwalior stops are existing from quite a long time so it is not an issue for this train to stop there.

Let Itarsi be a technical (operational) halt only, not a scheduled halt. In timetables it is given that Tamil Nadu Express stops from 09.50-09.53 hrs, which means that it has become a scheduled halt. Till 2008, no timetable showed that Itarsi has become a scheduled halt for TN Express. Itarsi was made a scheduled halt by Lalu Prasad Yadav in 2008. So, it is upto Mamta to make Itarsi a technical halt only. Whatever you have said is also correct. I know that Itarsi is an important junction. But, for a train like Tamil Nadu Express, which runs at its full capacity throughout the year, Itarsi doesn't suit it. If Itarsi still remains a scheduled halt Tamil Nadu Express will be overcrowded. Let Tamil Nadu have a scheduled halt at Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Bhopal, Nagpur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada. I am sure you understand......

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
