#Supplementary railway budget
Lok Sabha today gave its nod to government's proposal to spend over Rs 70,759 crore for carrying out works like railway electrification, establishment of workshop to manufacture bogies and several over-bridges in this financial year.
The Supplementary Demands for Grants (Railways) 2013-14 was adopted without any discussion as the House witnessed continued pandemonium during its passage. The demands were moved by Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge.
