highest railway bridge, the Chenab Bridge, which has been tested and approved for train operations. The Reasi station will serve as a terminal station for now, with safety measures and crowd control in place. The full USBRL project, which began construction in 2005-06, aims to provide seamless connectivity over 272 kilometers and is expected to be fully operational by September. The project also features railway electrification utilizing a rigid overhead conductor system (ROCS) at 25 kV, a first for Indian Railways.

दुनिया का सबसे ऊँचा रेलवे पुल, चेनाब पुल भी शामिल है, जिसका परीक्षण किया गया है और ट्रेन संचालन के लिए अनुमोदित किया गया है। फिलहाल रेसी स्टेशन टर्मिनल स्टेशन के रूप में काम करेगा, और यहाँ सुरक्षा उपाय और भीड़ नियंत्रण के लिए व्यवस्था भी की गई है। यूएसबीआरएल परियोजना पूरी तरह से 272 किलोमीटर लंबी है और यह 2005-06 में शुरू हुई थी। सितंबर तक यह परियोजना पूरी हो जाएगी। इस परियोजना में रेलवे विद्युतीकरण भी किया गया है, जिसमें 25 केवी का रिजिड ओवरहेड कंडक्टर सिस्टम (आरओसीएस) का उपयोग किया गया है, यह भारतीय रेलवे के लिए पहली बार है।
