Secunderabad-Bengaluru double rail line on the cards
Union minister of state for railways Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy said the central government was planning to double-track the rail route between Secunderabad and Bengaluru via Kurnool, adding that Kurnool district will then turn as a railway junction for the western states.
The Union minister reached Kurnool from Secunderabad in a new train launched by chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at Secunderabad on Saturday.

This is the first time that the minister did a train journey after assuming charge as the Union minister.
