Ranchi - Madhupur Express to now run as Hatia - Asansol Express 5 days a week with revised timings! Morning departure from Asansol, afternoon arrival at Ranchi!

Yeah Correct. For ASN pax : 12020 and 13404
For CRJ/JMT/MDP: 13320, 18604(not daily), 15027
So this train may be useful for CRJ-JMT pax who’re looking for a train after 13320 but before 15027. But I highly doubt anyone would take E2E towards RNC as 13319, 12019 are already there. Majorly useful for part journeys to RNC from NGRH, KQR, BRKA pax.

ER could have extended this train till Howrah 6 am departure for non-Shatabdi passengers. Another rake was available with ER.
Total journey time would be around 13.5 - 14 hrs and the motive to alter the TT was to provide NGRH/HZBN morning connectivity to RNC which isn't possible with extension upto HWH
