Beware of Cab Waala Cartels while visiting Ajmer.
I tried to Book a Cab to Pushkar (13 Kilometres away from my Hotel). Ola Rental Showed the price to be 900 Rupees. When booked the Cab Waala first told that he'd go with 1000 Rupees Cash. I cancelled that ride as I had to show the transaction on my Account for claims. Next ride, the guy told that Ola Rental is for inside Ajmer City and he'd charge 1800 for Pushkar and 1300 was booking amount if booked 2 days before. He was standing just besides the cab driver of my previous ride. I refused to budge to the demand and raised a complaint. Next thing I know 4 cab drivers showed up...

below my Hotel trying to call me repeatedly to "come down and talk". I called one of my Collection Agencies, those guys came over and the Cab guys ran away.
These cab drivers skulk around The Circle near the Domino's Restaurant on Jaipur Road in groups.
My Collection Guys are looking for them, they're in hiding.
Be very careful while booking rides in Ajmer.
I had guys backing me up, but most people don't.
I had to cancel my Pushkar Trip altogether as I didn't know what kind of people I'd end up meeting there plus I didn't want to bother my people anymore.
