Thanks:healthy approach. appreciated.
Earlier I was in the favour of it until they introduced Vande Bharat in both directions, that sufficed all the interests however as a matter of practicality, it became more and more obvious that neither extension is justified to begin with

Your thoughts on this is 100% right. Having too much premium options made this situation.
And, also shatabdi dynamic fare made this situation even more worse. Shatabdi fare + dynamic fare = VB fare so people choose newly launch and advertised service.
This shatabdi has arrival on NDLS around 11:30 is also connection towards flight and other north / south bound trains are not aligned properly. People have to wait 3 to 4 hours for their upcoming connections.

Contradicting point no 4 as 22415/16 after foggy season is doing perfectly fine from BT to max 10/15 minutes delay.

Lol, looks like getting a ticket for next day is very easy in this train. This explains why Lucknow Shatabdi runs even during winters despite covering a greater distance whilst Kanpur Shatabdi is canceled.

Agreed, but I'm talking about comfort of catching 3 PM Slot Premium Trains from Nizamuddin.
Arriving at 2 PM at New Delhi doesn't exactly give me a comfortable buffer to reach Nizamuddin by 3PM especially if my next journey is a longer one... Secunderabad Rajdhani/Duronto, Chennai Rajdhani/Duronto or anything else in that slot.
New Delhi Arrival at 11 AM from Prayagraj gives one enough time to have lunch and proceed on with next long journey.
