comprises two corridors: one 13.7 kilometers long from Taj East Gate to Sikandra and the other 15.7 kilometers long from Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar. The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is planning to operate the metro on a 6-kilometer priority corridor between February 2024. The priority corridor includes elevated stations at Agra East Gate, Basai, and Fatehabad Road, and underground stations at Agra Fort, Jama Masjid (now Mankaameshwar), and Taj Mahal. The decision to rename the station was made after Chief Minister Yogi announced the name "Mankaameshwar" during his visit in July 2023, where he inaugurated the high-speed trial run of the metro. The announcement was widely circulated on social media.
