Howrah Rajdhani got slowed down immensely in last 20 yrs. In 2003 when I went to Delhi, timings were HWH 16.15; NDLS 09.45 -- 17.5 hrs journey @ 83 kph. Later again when I travelled in 2014, timings were HWH 16.55; NDLS 09.40 -- 16 hrs 45 mins journey @ 87 kph. But now it is taking 20 more minutes, travelling in 17 hrs 05 mins @ 85 kph. While NDLS-KOTA route has just 4 Rajdhani running through it, it is way much faster than NDLS-CNB route through which 13 Rajdhani runs(3.25 times more than NDLS-KOTA route).
Average speed of Rajdhani in NDLS-KOTA route is 103 kph.
