which comes coasting through the Down reverse line with 16059R WDM- 3A of BWN shed. The reason for the coasting is that the very next station Kamarkundu (KQU) is a halt for the train. Location is Madhusudanpur on HB Chord enroute
The regular link of Howrah- Jaisalmer Express is a WAP-4, but gets WAM-4 occasionally. The train uses the lengthy Phalodi- Bikaner- Ratangarh- Churu- Old Delhi- Moradabad- Bareilly- Lucknow Charbagh- Rae Bareli- Partapgarh- Varanasi- Mughal Sarai- Gaya- Dhanbad- Asansol- Howrah route of NWR/ NR/ ECR/ ER to cover 2255 kms in 40h 10m with 26 halts (2 of them temporary on experimental basis).
Kanchan Kanya Express follows the Alipur Duar- New Mal- Siliguri- New Jalpauguri- Kumedpur- Malda Town- Farakka- Rampurhat- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Budwan- (Chord)- Sealdah route of NFR/ ER to cover 741 kms in 15h 30m with 23 halts.
This is my second crossing of an alco and an electric at this location.
